Rated 2 out of 5 by CarlosWoodWorks from Wobble - not what I expected from this brand I bought this saw based on price and brand quality compared to others out there. When I set up the saw and put the blade on, the saw had significant more wobble than I expected. I took the blade off and reviewed the set up per the instructions and still had the same issue. I did buy a red blade, but did not switch it out yet. Any suggestion on anything I can do to adjust it or am I stuck with a wobble on the saw?

Rated 2 out of 5 by RafterJ from Saw functionality I noticed when I was setting up the saw that I was not able to get a 45 by 45 degree because of the fences even though they were slid out as far as possible. Then started checking reviews and found that there is blade wobble. Happy with the price and LSA. But when will these problems be fixed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Shark89 from This saw is well built, has excellent features and is well priced. When shopping for my saw I compared this saw to most others in the market and found it had more features at a lower cost than most others. I was told about the "wobble" issues, so I tried my saw at the store, it work perfectly and continues to perform great everyday.

Rated 1 out of 5 by rideralberta from Blade wobble! What seemed like a killer saw at first, quickly turned south. The motor sounded strange on startup, like a bearing was gone. But the worst of it was a wobble in the blade. I assumed I had bought a bad blade, but after sticking a Diablo on, I realized it was the saw. The Home Depot rep I spoke with said I was the fourth to fifth guy to walk in with this complaint that week! He said a recall was probably coming. No kidding. I like the detent system; love the LED lights over laser, and the general build seemed good. But if a saw can't cut straight, it's about as good as a phone that can't make a call. Returned my saw and looking at Milwaukee...

Rated 2 out of 5 by Jimmy1775 from Known Issues With Arbor Ridgid customer service is finally recognizing the defects in the arbor. I'm on my 4th saw this month. All have had the "blade wobble" due to a batch of bad abors and bearings. Ridgid CS states the engineers are working on a solution. I am sticking with this saw because once that issue is fixed this will be an outstanding addition to the construction site.

Rated 1 out of 5 by MoJoSeattle from Blade Wobble Just got the R4221 setup and guess what... Blade wobble. The interesting part is that it will spin fine and then a "shudder" goes through, enough that you can see it in the blade shadow and it shakes the blade guard side to side. This is all while holding the blade just above the wood and letting it run free. It then smooths out and does it again. My first thought is that maybe the blade brake might be momentarily engaging. If it were the arbor shaft or unbalanced blade I don't think it would be so random and intermittent. I searched Ridgid Blade Wobble and found the same comment from 2007. The first and primary purpose of a miter saw is to spin the blade. Come on Ridgid, really?

Rated 1 out of 5 by jimi76 from Blade wobble and vibration Been a faithful Ridgid buyer for a couple years now and even after receiving a different miter saw from my family for my birthday I asked them to exchange and I would pay the difference to stick with Ridgid. Friday 11-11-16 I purchased this saw at my Poughkeepsie Home Depot Store and also purchased your miter saw stand which works perfectly unlike the saw. On Monday 11-14-16 I assemble the stand and the saw and proceed to make my first cut. However theres a horrible wobble and vibration in the blade. Thinking maybe it was a bad stock blade that came with the saw I leave the job site and drive 20 minutes back to Home Depot and buy a $70 96 tooth diablo blade. Head back to the job replace the blade and try another cut. Still a horrible wobble and vibration. Now I pack the saw back up in my truck and return it to Home Depot thinking I must have got a bad saw. Home Depot is understanding and exchanges it out for another. Rain here canceled work on 11-15 but today 11-16-16 I return to the jib open the 2nd saw install the $70 blade pull the trigger and same wobble and vibration plus now I notice a bad jump when releasing the trigger. Now this model has cost me valuable time on the job over the coarse of 2 days and I have no choice but to drive back to depot and return this item. This time I returned the saw stand as well and purchased the Dewalt model which worked perfectly out of the box. Tonight I look at reviews on Home Depots site for this saw and I see it has been a major issue for many buyers. While the Dewalt isn't as versatile as the Ridgid and lacks some options at least it cuts smoothly. Sadly I am now rethinking my loyalty to ridged products.
