Rated 5 out of 5 by kraftwerksman from Moneys worth Industry standard brushless motor combined with innovative hydraulic tech. Ridgid really broke the mold on this one. This driver is really well made. A video on the tube shows exactly how well machined and intricate this tools drive mech is. Very well engineered and designed. As far as actual usage. This is almost too powerful for driving smaller screws. When driving long bolts and screws it just seems to be the fastest driver I have used. The grip is tight and the ergo on the handle is 4/5. I like the direction Ridgid is taking on the newer Gen5x line. Very attractive lines on this tool. The tri led lights the job better than under lit models. The only sound this driver makes is the whine of the brushless motor. Once it gets moving the bits seem to silently whomp through the screws rather than tink' like impact drivers. The only complaint is that is seems a bit unruly as it hogs down Phillips screws in speed 3 almost too fast. Finer work should definitely utilize the lower settings. Hopefully the tech is applied to other tools in the future. Impressed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by ua1770 from Awesome driver! I have already put in thousands of self-tapping scews with this bad boy. I compared it to the regular ridgid impact driver, DeWalt driver, and Milwaukee driver. It smokes them all. Battery life is a little better, there is very little heat coming from the impact driver after several hours of putting screws in, and it is QUIET! I absolutely love this impact driver and recommend to anyone who wants a quality product that drives screws in faster and easier than the competition. It even sheared a 5/16" Milwaukee impact bit in half (I attached a picture). Only complaint is the trigger buttons, as they are a little loose. Other than that I will keep enjoying the power and increased runtime from this driver.

Rated 1 out of 5 by TheDarkKnightLasVegas from Mine might be defective I tried it on lug nuts torqued to lesser and lesser incriminates starting at 70ft lbs 840in lbs it didn't break them loose then proceeded to go down to 60ft lbs 720in lbs it didn't break it loose, then down again to 55ft lbs still no that's 660 in lbs then again to 50 ft lbs 600in lbs my final was 45ft lbs 540in lbs it didn't break them loose. I'm so disappointed. What should I do? It's already registered. Did I just get a bad one it works but not much reverse power at all? Please advise? I still like Ridgid and would recommend them to friends and family.. I used a Mac torque wrench.
