Rated 4.9 out of 5 by 119 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by This wet vac allows you to vacuum a large quantity of water or other materials. The drainage port makes it easy to drain without fear of getting wet. This model is inexpensive but it would have paid more for additional accessories February 25, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great durability This is my second unit. Bought the first one for our vacation house several years ago where it was used in a very harsh beach environment. We spent significant time vacuuming sand and blowing debris off the porch. Vacuum and blower power are both outstanding, and they do not rust. Just purchased a new one for home use. You can't go wrong with this blower/vac. February 19, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by thoughts at this point I haven't had this very long so I can't make a rational recommendation on durability. Used as a blower it does extremely well to push leaves around into a pile. As a shop vac I haven't used it to any great extreme but it seems at this point to do good as well. The long hose and cord are a plus. February 16, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great purchase I think for the money its the best one on the market. It works great and has a ton of suction. all the pieces and more that you will need, although I added the car accessories. If you need a shop vac I would recommend this one. February 15, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by excellent working machine The job is much easier with this powerful Rigid Vacuum. The powerful detachable blower is great for inside the shop and also blowing leaves outside. Highly recommended to anyone. I will not buy anything except Rigid tools from now on. February 13, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by BEST Shop Vac on the market! This shop vac is extremely powerful, it sucks.... In a good way!! It can also be easily transformed into a blower which is a bonus. It is a well built machine and was very easy to put together. February 11, 2015

Answer:
If the power switch of the WD1665 is not operating properly, we can send a replacement switch no charge under warranty. You should be mechanically inclined to replace the switch. Please call us directly at 1-800-474-3443 so we can place the order. You should have the serial number of the vac once you contact us.

Thanks,

Answer:
Sounds like your switch is "going"...I suggest you contact Customer Service because you have a life-time warranty.
I don't recommend you trying to fix it on your own.

Answer:
Switches can go bad and wear out. It could be just a loose connection also? I would first spray some alcohol into the switch itself and around the switch housing because sometimes the contacts of the switch get dirty. Let this dry for a minute or two and then try it and see if it works. If not then If the machine is not under warranty you should be able to take it apart by removing some screws and the unit should separate into two pieces. This should also give you access to the switch. From their you can determine if it's a loose connection or a bad switch? Hope this helps?

Have you looked at your local Home Depot or on there web site to see if their is a adapter for the drain outlet? I don't know if rigid has a web site but you could see if they do and maybe get one from there? Hope this helps!

Answer:
Thank you for your interest in RIDGID!

For our WD1680 vac, there is no part needed to be removed from the blowing port to use it as a blower. I sent an owner’s manual on the email address provided so you can have a reference on the parts included on the vac and the instruction on how to use this vac as a blower.

Regards,
RIDGID

Answer:
Did you get or can you locate your owners manual for your vac? You might even be able to go on the rigid web site and download the owners manual for your device? This should tell you how to hook up an attachment to your blower. You might even be able to find a YouTube video on it? Who knows their are videos on just about anything these days? My blower attachment locks into the blower port. Mine works like this I push the blower attachment into the blower port and then turn it clockwise until it locks into place which is great because you don't have to worry about it falling off or the blower blowing it off like on my older sears model I have. Hope this helps!
