Rated 4.6 out of 5 by 19 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great for a small work shop I replaced a Ryobi miter saw stand with this stand, the Ryobi stand was to hard for me to fold up and move by myself, it also did not stand upright on it's own very well either. I have a 12' x 20' work shop so floor space is very valuable and this stand allows me to easily fold it up by myself, wheel it into a corner with ease and frees up a lot of floor space for me when I am not using my miter saw. This stand is very well designed, very solid and very easy to assemble, mine did not even come with assembly instructions and for some reason my computer would not let me download the online manual, I figured it out by looking at a picture. I would highly recommend this stand to anyone with a shop or a mobile contractor. The online registration for the L.S.A. was also very simple, be sure you do that or you will not be very happy if something goes wrong when it's out of warranty. February 27, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great product! Works great. I've used it everyday for the last 2 months. Sturdy, durable. Only complaint was the setup directions. For the quality of the product Ridgid came up short. Bolts, screws, nuts, washers in different packages. No parts labeled. February 24, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Good Quality I read several reviews regarding the problem with assembly instructions - - Here's where I feel the problem is - the actual instructions with pictures are in the BACK of the manual - not considering with the front pages of instructions. Assembly is EASY EASY - even without the proper instructions - - all you really have to do is look at the picture on the box and you'll be OK - but if you are one of those who follow step by step - then those are in the back few pages of the manual I've gone through several portable or mobile work stands - this one is TOP NOTCH - quality wheels, allowing easy use push and pull through grass or dirt -- - for me, I put a RIDGID sliding compound miter saw (12 inch) and it moves quite easily. Rated 3 out of 5 by INSTRUCTIONS ? What????? In my 59 years I have NEVER seen such a poor excuse for assembly instruction!!!! I sell and assemble residential products for a living and have never seen such poorly thought out assembly instructions and unidentifiable parts!! Looks like a good product but fire your product manager who totally missed the boat and left us all to struggle with the product assembly. January 28, 2015
Rated 2 out of 5 by Not very excited So I went to Home Depot this evening excited to get a new saw. I ended up purchasing a Ridgid 12" Double Bevel Sliding Miter Saw. Very Cool. I realized I would also need a stand, so why would I purchase anything else but the Ridgid MSUV?? Stands to reason it should bolt right up being made by the same mfg, Well I guess that was a stupid assumption….Really?? I have to bolt my $400 saw to a piece of plywood to secure it to your MSUV….That is unbelievable….And there is no way to engineer another bracket to work with this saw??? I mean I would be willing to pay even more money to not have my equipment looking like some cobbled up junk I picked up at the local pawn shop. Guess I'll do a little more research in the future before I make a purchase. Please contact me with a resolution. If not I will gladly return this to the store and exchange it. December 17, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Caught Everyone's Eyes I first used the Ridgid MSUV on a pre-cut for a Hands of Mercy build project. I had a piece of junk saw attached that was made fun of, but the stand was loved by all. I'll be purchasing a Ridgid Double Compound, Sliding Miter Saw to attach for the next pre-cut or handyman ministry project at church. Highly recommend. November 29, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent features. I purchased this stand after viewing others four years ago. I am impressed with the way it sets up and folds down. It will store in a small area. The wings work smoothly and are strong. I would buy another and recommend it to anyone. November 25, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by best ever, easy to use and solid. this stand is use with my RIDGID 12 inches miter saw and it is a pleasure to work with. each side could be extended to support long beam. Wheels are strong and efficience in rugged soil. when finish working, it is easy to close and set aside for the next job. finally a solid tool wich make my life a lot easier when working, it was about time that sobebody build something so useful. i highly recommend this tool RIDGID. I have the 12" compound miter saw and first off, the assembly instructions are the absolute worst I have ever seen. Why would the written instructions be in the front, and then the diagrams in the back of the book? That means you constant have to flip back and forth.

Second, the parts list couldn't be more unclear. All metric, with no picture so show what bolt, nut, etc... is being referenced.

Third, the clamping brackets that go on the top of the stand do not work with the 12" compound miter saw. WHAT!?!? The back slots will allow you to insert the bolts, but the front ones don't because of the locking mechanism on the clamps.. The instructions say to you "1/2" material or greater and mount that to the brackets, then mount the saw to the material." REALLY!? Are you serious? So I have to go buy plywood to make this work? That is unacceptable. If this issue hasn't been addressed it should, because this is a horrible design flaw with a half-hearted attempt for a fix.

Finally, I am missing parts from my kit. How would I go about getting them? How would I know what to call the part that I am missing since there is no picture accurately showing what the parts look like. I guess you could say I need a "dome top nut". The one that is used to secure the foot pad.

I have to say, this stand is a huge disappointment and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

Answer:
I had no problem mounting a 12" Chicago electric and Dewalt sliding compound miter saw to this, I took the brackets off then put my hardware through the 4 mounting holes, set the bracket on the saw, fronts first, then squared it up to the back of the brackets and tightened my bolts. As far as missing parts try the customer service number or just go to the hardware store and buy a 1/4-20 x 2"bolt, washer and nut.

Answer:
The manuals are designed to maintain a flow in regards to instructing the customer on set up and usage from one step to the next in each category. The pictures or figures are placed in a reference section towards the back of the manual for the customer to reference during the procedure the customer is performing, as needed. Unfortunately, not all customer like that set up with a manual, but that is the current format being used.

The manuals loose parts page with part descriptions, and the text on assembly provide all of the necessary information to properly assemble the product. A detailed descriptive parts list should not be needed and is not included in the manual. However, if the customer wishes to view a parts list, they can do so on-line in the www.ridgidparts on-line parts system.

Unfortunately, the saw brackets for the MS-UV cannot accommodate every miter saw models design or foot pattern. For those models that do not fit, the option to mount to an mounting board and then to the brackets, is the only option advisable.

replacements for missing items from new RIDGID power tool and accessory purchases can be obtained by contacting the RIDGID customer service phone staff at 1-866-539-1710,
between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. EST, and providing your shipping address (No P.O. Boxes), and the tool or accessory model and serial number for the product.

Thank You

Answer:
of course this stand fits a 12 miter saw - - I use it with a 12 in sliding compound miter - Ridgid. You will have to take the mounting brackets off the stand and mount them to the saw first (use the bolts that come with the stand - the short ones)

You will have to remove the nut and screw from the mounting bracket - and take out the black curved part that clamps to the mounting bar - this will allow you to put the short bolt into the slot and up through the bottom of the saw then loosely attach the nut to the bolt (do the front one first then the back)..

Then simply re install the curved clamp part and adjust the tension once the saw is in place.

Answer:
If you have experience assembling anything this should be very self explanatory, I didn't have an instruction manual with mine and was able to look at the picture and go by process of elimination for the 3 things I really couldn't tell what was what on the picture in about 30 minutes.

Answer:
Thank you for your interest in RIDGID!

There is no information available to advise with on whether or not the Dewalt DSW782 specifically will mount to the AC9945’s mounting brackets. The mounting brackets are designed to mount RIDGID miter saws. The option of using a piece of plywood to mount a saw it is the only suggestion we can advise of, if the saw in question does not fit the stands mounting brackets.

RIDGID

Answer:
Yes, most miter saws in general will fit this stand. Older Craftsman may require a plywood support or a model that has off center front and back mounting holes.
