Rated 4.8 out of 5 by 71 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Bag Of Goodness After finding a large box on my front porch, with this Bag Of Goodness inside, I went right to work. Being a general contractor has allowed me to put all five tools to work. I have yet to over work any of the tools. Any attempt to do so lead to me needing to take a coffee break myself. I did pick up a third battery and the small Ridgid radio to complete my kit. (then I left the flashlight on a job) I will replace it, one of the best small work lights. I own and use other brands, and reach for my Ridgid first. Best tools in my truck! January 7, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Batteries go forever bought this to help with a remodel project, batteries last forever. saw has plenty of power, driver has more than enough torque to tackle anything I could throw at it. December 12, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Had for years use almost every day Love everything about these tools I use them all the time, the only complaint I would have it the lifespan of the battery while using the saws all, it eats up the juice other than that everything works great and the drills are very torquey December 6, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Absolutely amazing tools! By far the most rugged tools I have had the pleasure of using. Have absolutely punished these tools over the last few years, and they just keep coming back for more. Recommend these tools to anyone wanting a powerful set, and with the lifetime warranty, it will be the last set you will ever have to buy. December 3, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great tools, but a bit heavy love this kit. I think mine is a generation older. they're a bit heavy, but that's what you get for their toughness! I already successfully used the lifetime guarantee/warranty; I got two replacement batteries when they started not holding a charge. November 30, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by thi product has great durability I bought the five piece combo kit its great for small and large jobs and its very portable. I recommend it to everyone I know. November 29, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Warranty is Amaing I have to say. I have the older model of this set and its a bit heavier but works Very Well. 2 or the batteries died and I submitted for repair and the repair shop gave me 2 new batteries at no charge. So after a god 5 years of casual use I am very very happy with the units and the customer service. November 28, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by This kit is great for work or home! I've been using RIDGID power tools for 8 years now at home and in the field. They have always come through when I needed them. Battery life is amazing with the Lithium Ion packs. LIFETIME WARRANTY!!!!!! Would recommend to anyone! November 28, 2014

When using a self feeding 3/4" bit, the drill suddenly stops and has to be restarted. Same thing happens with the circular saw when cutting 2x4s and 3/4" plywood. Also had the reciprocating saw do the same thing when cutting 3/4" plywood.

Answer:
I have never had this problem exactly as you are describing. I have noticed when I am drilling something if the battery gets low it just suddenly stops. The lithium ion batteries don't show signs of being weak they just shut down. This is all I can think of in your case.

Answer:
the tripping out of the tools is to keep it from overheating or torquing too much.

If the drill is doing it try switching down to low gear for doing the larger diameter holes.

if the saw it doing it, make sure you are cutting strait and true with a good blade. The kit blade is garbage! I have cut true 2x6 hardwood with the saw and if you have a good blade it will handle if you don't force it.

Answer:
Yes. This is normal. It keeps the tool from burning out. Try less pressure when cutting. Let the tool do the work for you and it will be like a hot knife through butter.

Answer:
The only thing you will probably be able to do is use a power inverter and plug in your original battery charger.

Answer:
I have not been able to locate one for Ridgid tools. Your best answer may be a power inverter. Ridgid has a 100 watt that will help you keep your charge up while on remote sites.

I was looking at the Home Depot description of this product and it in effect states that the drill that comes with this set is not compatible with the batteries that comes with this set.

This item is sold with (2) AC840083 batteries and (1) AC840093 charger, this drill is compatible with the following batteries and chargers, not included: AC840084, AC840085 and AC46182 batteries and AC470013 charger.

Note the batteries/charger are not listed as compatible with the drill. Does this mean the drill will be useless until I buy the correct battery?

Answer:
Thank you for your interest in RIDGID!

The Home Depot web site R9651 kits description is indicating additional batteries and a charger that the drill in the kit is compatible with, which are not included in the kit. Naturally it is compatible with the batteries that come in the kit, or they would not be in the kit.

Regards,
