Rated 5 out of 5 by Terrence Easy to use and well built
This wet dry vac was slightly pricey, but it definately gets the job done. Much easier to assemble than I initially thought when I opened the box. Our warehouse bought it and had to use it right away to clean up water spilled from a rusted pipe. It was sturdy and the cart made it easy to maneuver even when full with almost 16 gallons of water. Ran well. No strain on the motor and plenty of horsepower. No complaints about this and would definately recommend.

Had a 16 gallon for 10 years. The cart feature and better tool selection make this a great purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by emptyk51 This vacuum does it all!
I just replaced a shop vac almost 40 years old that was made by Craftsman. Although the actual picking up debris is similar between both the new and the old vacs, the big wheels on the back with the tool carrier make for a superior experience. The old craftsman was constantly tipping over and when doing so, the freshly vacuumed area had to be re vacuumed because of the spillage because the vacuuming assembly always disconnected from the barrel of the vacuum. The key to any successful cleaning with this vacuum is to always keep the filter cleaned. That is the reason to buy this brand of vacuums. The filter is easily accessible which you then take to a garbage can and bang the filter on the edge of the can until it is clean. Just make sure not to hit the filter with too much force or you might damage the filter. I have been doing it this way for almost 40 years and has worked for me along time. It certainly makes your filters last much longer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Mikeksp works as advertised and is quieter than expected
I used the vacuum to pick up water from the garage floor. There was sand and small pebbles from the drive way mixed with the water and snow melt from the car. The vacuum not only picked up the water but sucked up most of the solids as well. The bottom drain was easy to use. I'll leave the "sludge" in the tank until spring so I can use a hose to was it out. The only down side is that the vacuum wand and floor head come apart to easily.. I'd like to see vacuum connections with a spring button like those found on household vacuums. I can't comment on product durability since I have not had enough experience using the product yet. Bought the product 6 weeks ago.

Rated 4 out of 5 by TimU Some shortsited aspects of design
While this vacuum is a good sturdy design, there are some problems with it that need to be corrected.
There is a place in the base where your suppose to store the hose. That's fine, but where do you store the 2 extensions for the hose if not in these places? This over site is really irritating considering the level of thought and execution that went into the other attachments storage.
Also, as delivered, there is no dust collection bag for catching dust in the body of the vacuum. There is a filter. but no bag. The dust is allowed to collect in the canister, A bag is easier to clean. Luckily a Shop-Vac's 16 gallon bag will fit and work. This is minor but for the cost of this vacuum, worth mentioning.

Rated 5 out of 5 by CrewChiefC130 Great machine replacing a ShopVac. Lifetime warranty is a plus.
Vac met my specs immediately on opening box. Well constructed. The only negative was no pistol grip attachment for ease of handling the house. The wife even likes it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by CharlieSC Glad I chose this unit
Granted, I have only been using this vacuum for a short time, but thus far, I am very happy. I needed a larger vacuum for wood working in my shop. The one thing that I labored over was how loud portable vacuum can be. This unit is truly quiet compared to many I have had. Yes, it makes noise but, it is literally half as noisy as my older ShopVac (2HP) unit. It was advertised as being quieter and it truly is.
I bought it at my local Home Depot and noticed that on the posted data card for each available unit, this one rated a 4 on a decibel scale of 1 to 10. This time, a retailer's claim was accurate.
I recommend this unit based on my personal experience with it and how it met my needs. Your needs may or may not be the same as mine.
