In addition, the vacuum’s power head detaches and quickly converts into a 180 peak MPH handheld blower with a locking blowing wand that outperforms most dedicated leaf blowers. The quick-release cord wrap lets you spend less time unwrapping the 20’ cord, and more time on the job. The caddy conveniently keeps your accessories and hose close at hand. Rated 5 out of 5 by from The best Never right reviews but for this I have too. Blow works great more power the. I thought. Used it to clean out house gets big things and small. Love this thing won’t buy a different one again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This product is string and versatile. We were reluctant to buy but so glad we did. Although lugging it around can be a bit annoying, but that does not outweigh the stellar performance of the machine. The leaf blower on this thing is more powerful than my actual leaf blower! We are very happy with our purchase and loom forward to years of use!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Warranty Registration needs improvement Good product. There are hassle free warranty programs out there. Ridgid is not one of them. Had to search through the multiple websites they use for their warranties and registration processes. It could easily be combined into one site with a simpler process.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Pretty awesome Bought it to drain about 4” of water that wasn’t able to drain outta the plug. The pool was 18’x9’. The vac filled up the 16 gal. bucket quick with no hesitation. No down side at all about this product. Rigid is a very reliable brand.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Small filter This shopvac replaces my 18 year old ridgid shopvac. This model is among the largest currently available. But, I'd trade this one for my old vac in a quick second. Why. The filter is far too small and needs cleaning too often. Also the suction is much less than that old 'standby' ridgid vac. Overall, it works just fine. No problems, just less machine for the same money.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Cord and hose holders are great, as well as the 4 casters make it easer to move around in tight areas. Ease of use, power, quick change to the blower function, made from durable materials and good quality are all plus points for the unit. Accessory, hose and cord storage make the unit compact for storage when not in use. I only found one issue: The holders for the squeegee and floor attachments on the back of the unit need to hold the items more securely. I look forward to many years of good service from the unit. Thank you for another great tool, D

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great shop vacuum Just replaced my old sears shop vac. The rigid has 25% more HP. Works well. I had a small issue with a minor broken part, in shipment. Beth, of customer service, did a great job of getting me that part plus an extra filter for my trouble. Thanks Beth!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works well and the detachable blower is fantastic. The detachable blower is a game changer. Easy to use and very powerful. The vacuum has a large capacity.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Durability I think you can throw this vacuum down the Grand Canyon and it’ll still work. I put a sticker on mine that reads “This vacuum climbed Mt Everest”...the piece is a beast. My vacuum has been through the most extreme conditions when in use. The kids even used it in the cat litter box for months. My basement flooded once and this vacuum worked better than the sump pump that never started! The removable blower has been used a lot in the garage after my wood building projects. It’s not cordless but it is perfect for use after small or big projects in an open environment as the garage. It is also great to dry out floors on rainy days or after mopping. We have used it to it’s full capabilities (or so we thought) and the vacuum runs as if it was brand new. Had it for nearly three years now and it hasn’t lost power at all. We use this vacuum for EVERYTHING! We got rid of those “house expensive vacuums” that die out after 6 months and use this RIDGID instead. We even use it when we groom our three German Shepherd Dogs! Only heaven this vacuum sees is when it’s not in use. Otherwise we torture it and make it work hard!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very happy so far with these 4 Ridgid vacuums bought at Home Depot These vacuums seem a lot better than the ones I used to buy and I hope I won't be disappointed in the future after a long and good use I will do with these 4 vacuums from your Company... Price was right and the fact that Home Depot sells this brand put me in trust and confidence with your products.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works really good. This vac has lots of power and the detachable blower is a nice feature. I rated the durability a 5 but I haven’t actually had it for too long so hopefully it holds up. As with all rigid products it was easy to register.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Suction! Accidentally sucked up a couple shop rags while doing floor tile haha highly recommended! Using it on my Ridgid table saw and my miter saw dust exhaust ports
Date published: 2019-03-06
Rated 5 out of 5 by from I am using it pretty steadily for as long as an hour at a time and so far no problem I have hooked the vacuum up to a dust collection system at my wood lathe and it seems to be catching about 80% or more of the dust. That is a lot better than the old craftsman that it replaces. I also use it to clean up around the shop and it does a very good job I would definitely recommend it

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good vacuum with good attachments with 1 issue. I like the vacuum. It works great. However the directions say to just take off the paper filter when using it for wet clean up. This can't be right. It needs a foam filter. However I couldn't find a foam filter that fit to buy (it doesn't come with one). So I had to rubber band the filter to hold it into place. The filter, that the instructions said I didn't need, was filthy and wet. I can't imagine that would have been good to get into the motor.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Vac Very powerful and useful. As well, I do not need to use the carpet vacuum to clean up debris, which, invariably, clogs up the carpet vacuum.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Looks good I put it together but have not used it yet so I cannot rate my durability for at least a year. What surprised me was the hose girth was smaller then other vacuums of this size. Being a rigid I'm sure it will work

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Brilliant Company My new wet/dry vacuum was a warranty replacement. RIGID was outstanding in their method of honoring the warranty. They did exactly what makes a lifetime warranty meaningful. After a simple, straight forward exchange of information they sent a brand new vacuum without any cost for the replacement unit or shipping. They also didn't require returning the compromised vacuum. Up until it stopped working it was a great machine and the fact that they resolved the issue of it quitting with respectful professionalism was wonderful. Next time I shop for a tool RIGID will be first to consider. Thanks

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great shop vac + extra advantage of blower The only setup that took some time was getting the wheels on the vac. They are difficult to get in, but at least now they shouldn't come out. I found the trick to be to twist the wheels as you are inserting them. Love the tool options and the long cord. Worked perfectly out of the box. Ridgid warranty is the best.

drain hose attachment

I am wondering where I can get a hose to fit on the drain outlet... or an adapter from the vac to a garden hose?
Asked by: ccyaltr
Have you looked at your local Home Depot or on there web site to see if their is a adapter for the drain outlet? I don't know if rigid has a web site but you could see if they do and maybe get one from there? Hope this helps!

How do I turn the blower off while vacuuming?

I am trying to vacuum up saw dust and lint in a closed space and the blower is going at the same time as the vacuum... How do I get the blower to turn off while I am using the vacuum?
Asked by: Kjchaka
You are unable to turn it off. The blower feature on this model is the actual exhaust created from the vacuum. RIGID does sell a muffler/diffuser VT2525 which would calm the exhaust and noise, but I have not used the item

Does the filter canister remain in the drum when the filter bags are used?

Concerned about the vacuum's ability to accept both filters running simultaneously without stressing the motor?
Asked by: LeatherneckSquid
Hi LeatherneckSquid, There is no need to be concerned. Having both the filter bag and the filter canister installed will not strain or stress the motor. The filter bag is a fine dust filter and can capture 99% of all particles 1/2 micron and larger. Almost clean air would then pass through the cartridge filter. You would be dumping out the bag more often than cleaning the canster filter. We recommend keeping the cartridge filter installed so in the unlikely event that the filter bag gets torn, none of the debris will get into the motor. Can I purchase the top part of the vacuum only? I just need the actual vacuum itself.

I already own the accessories, like the bucket and attachments.

why did Ridgid go to a push on filter, now I can't use my older filters?

Asked by: gelder
Hello gelder, The filter assembly was changed to eliminate the use of filter plate and filter nut. If you still have the old filter cage with the threaded stud, you can still use the old filter (with a separate filter plate) and the filter nut to hold it in place. However, if you switched to the push-on filter cage, you will not be able to use the old filter.

If I'm using a filter bag, do I still need to use the pleated filter?

Asked by: Anickname
Dear Anickname, Thank you for contacting RIDGID. When you have the filter bag properly installed, having the pleated paper filter is not required. However, I would still recommend installing the pleated paper. In the unlikely event that the bag gets torn during use, the pleated paper filter will still be able to capture the debris. For any further questions or concerns you may call customer service at the number above or you may send your email to [email protected] Regards, RIDGID

What should a normal operating temperature be for the motor?

Concerning the 16 gallon vac with detachable blower, what should the normal operating temperature be for the motor? After running for 10-15 minutes the motor felt very hot to the touch, so I pulled out my FLIR to find out exactly what the temp was. As you can see from the attached photos, it's hot. This is a new vacuum, the float valve is open, new bag filter, and only using the included attachments. The ambient temperature is 82 F
