Rated 1 out of 5 by from Failed on first use Bought this unit to clear a drain clog on my kitchen sink. About 4 feet out, hand cranking, the inner core broke (no resistance up to that point). Called Ridgid, got bounced to a local rep (who was a complete jerk). Thankfully had my Home Depot receipt, so I took it back, explained situation, and they took care of it. Lifetime warranty is useless if you cannot claim on it, especially first run out for an obvious quality defect.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great tool This thing works great. Used my drill and cleared 5lbs of rice my wife flushed down the line. Took about 5 minutes to get all 25 feet down the line. Ran smooth the whole way. Another great Ridged tool

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Decent product Decent product just really wish the power drive stud that sticks out was a little bigger and not perfectly smooth and round so that a drill has something to grab onto a little better and not slip as well as I wish there was a locking Futurama auto-feed to make it easier than holding the trigger the whole time

Rated 5 out of 5 by from GREAT TOOL I bought this to replace an older off brand one I have. I've used this for other folks I know instead of myself. It's easy to use and the auto feed is worth the couple of extra bucks. It works great on a cordless drill. I recommend this as a good hand drain cleaner.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I used the power spin with my Ridgid 18 volt drill, I cleaned 3 drains in less than an hour. Easy and fast. Tub drain took 15 minutes, it was full of hair. Bathroom sink took 15 minutes. Kitchen sink took 30 minutes, only because I had to take the drain pipes apart. It was full of grease. This was the 2nd one I have owned and when it wears out, I will get another one.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My power spin cleaned all our drain that is clogged its easy to use, manually or driven with a battery powered drill. This power spin works great, it has auto feed feature. This product cleaned all of our drain that had a clogged on the drain. Use it as it says on the manual and it wont give you a problem. The only thing wears off or breaks after using it for a lot of times is the screws on the end cable after that the other screws, it happens coz its plastic, their reliable and it have a full life time warranty.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from The product has great features I used the snake with my electric drill and it seemed to clean out a mess in the pipes. The jury is out for how well it holds up over a couple of years, but it was easy to use with good results. I would recommend it to anyone as a first option over a plumber with little investment.

How do you clean this?

Just bought this and was going through the manual and it says to clean the auger after use. Ridgid also sells a rust inhibiter, but how do you get the thing apart. There is no information anywhere in the book.
Asked by: mufferdog
there are 4 screws in the back of the drum . remove the screws and the drum comes apart or you can pull the cable totally out of the front of the tool for cleaning the cable and rust proofing which needs to be done after each use anyway. wd 40 or a light weight motor oil can be used to rust proof the cable because a lot of times a liquid drain cleaner has been used and it is very corrosive and will eat up the cable causing it to break off in the pipe and cause more labor time and cost.

How to assemble the handle ?

I have a rigid power spin tool. It seems that I may have lost some parts for the handle, where either a drill can be connected or turning the handle. HOw do I get the parts?
