Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good Shop Vac I think this is a very good shop vac.The only things I don't like are the dust bags are 12.50 for 2 paper bags, are you kidding me?Also the vacuum is very short, but is powerful but tough to maneuver. It is concerting to me when a good name like Ridgid sells a good vacuum but overcharges for accessories.Lower the price of the paper bags please, their is competition much cheaper than yours.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Average shop vac Top does not latch very securely onto bottom. Had to buy extra attachments to make vac very useful. Storage of attachments is only so-so, especially the hose even though there is provision on each foot for storage - attachments stored there are not very secure. If you leave the hose attached, the footprint of the vac is huge, making storage of the entire unit problematic. The hose and attachments do not fit together very well even though they have locks. Couldn't get the joints together far enough to engage the locks easily. Hose is stiff and not very long. Suction is OK.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great quality. Quality product. May not be the cheapest but will last forever. The plastics used are good glass reinforced plastics which is needed in a rough shop. The warranty only covers manufacturer defects which is pretty much useless. The shop vacs dont have the warranty as the hand/power tools because they are leased to Emerson. Still a fantastic tool that proves it's worth.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Decent Little Shop Vac This is a decent little shop vac for the price. It has okay suction. I wish it was a little more powerful. The attachments that come with this shop vac kind of suck. If you are buying this vac to clean out your car, find a different one because this one is just okay.

What is the filter mesh size?

What is the smallest particles that it will filter out? Dust, pollen, mold?
Asked by: Scotster
Vacuum comes with a single pleat paper filter VF4000 for large dirt/sawdust size. You can purchase a 3 layer filter VF5000 for dust/drywall dust or a 5 layer HEPA filter VF6000 for pet dander/mold/pollen. The VF7000 is a foam filter for use during wet vacuuming.
