Rated 5 out of 5 by drpetesut from Sturdy tool with Lifetime battery Just bought this tool last week and used the plunge cutting blade and sanding attachments. I found the tool to be sturdily built and fairly easy to switch between attachments. Battery charges fairly quickly (I think 1/2 hour, but didn't time it - box says 1 hour), but I would recommend having two for convenience. Plunge cutting through a 1" thick spruce board was easy and quick. I like the weight of the tool (feels very sturdy but not so heavy to cause user fatigue) and comfort of the grip and flexibility of changing the angle of the blades. I agree with another reviewer that attaching the head to the power base is difficult. And using the tool-free lever to go back and forth between sanding and cutting tools was puzzling at first: after sliding the lever out, it felt like I was going to break it trying to get it to pivot, but now that I'm used to it, it just seems sturdy. I was reluctant to buy this at first, having just bought a competitors drill and 2 batteries, but this was a good price and comes with a lifetime guarantee on the batteries that I haven't seen anywhere else. Free batteries for life? Yes! But again it's puzzling. The box says, "FREE BATTERIES, FREE PARTS, FREE SERVICE, FOR LIFE." So, why is there also a 3-year limited warranty covering "all defects in workmanship or materials and normal wear items such as brushes, chucks, motors, switches, cords, gears, and even cordless batteries in this RIDGID tool for three years following the purchase date of the tool."?

Rated 1 out of 5 by JustAguy from Poor product, poor design, poor execution I just bought the product today. I charged the battery, and registered the kit. The JOBMAX head is so poorly built, it was nearly impossible to put on the body, and just as impossible to take off. Then, the lever on the JOBMAX doesn't work properly (too stiff) so changing tools is terrible. THEN, the fully charged battery died after 30 minutes use, and the charger says it's defective. Not a fan.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Smylnirish from Smooth and rugged I was dubious about purchasing this tool but all of my doubts were erased when I put it to work. This is the same high quality as the Ridgid cordless tool that I bought 13 tears ago (and are still going strong). This tool is compact but powerful with a good duty cycle on the battery. IfI could suggest one change, it would be to add a second battery to the kit.
