Rated 5 out of 5 by Bowlingking1224 from Worked very well to unclog my shower drain! I used this product to unclog my shower drain. It was very easy to operate and worked great. I used a Milwaukee m18 drill on low and it powered thought the clog.

Rated 5 out of 5 by handyman1 from nice tool for the small job, drill feature is worth the extra $$ works fine for me although a distance counter or maybe feet indication on the auger cable would be helpful

Rated 4 out of 5 by Plumber5 from Good Product But One Major Weakness This product has one major weakness, the cable retainer clip inside the drum. The retainer clip failed releasing the end of the cable on the first use. I removed the remaining broken retainer with a rotary tool, then drilled a hole through the back of the drum for a # 10 bolt. I secured the cable end with a small, rubber lined metal cable clamp bolted to the back of the drum with the aforementioned #10 bolt, washer and nut. This repair removed the one major weakness of the drain cleaner. After this modification the cleaner performed well on many jobs.

Rated 4 out of 5 by BoneyardBob from Good This is my second Power Spin, it works great for small household jobs and for my rentals. Very convenient and saves me money. I like the extra features it has over it competitors, it is more durable and I especially like the grip handle and auto-feed. You can also hook it up to a drill to speed up the process. Definitely a must have if you are a DIY Guy....

Rated 1 out of 5 by Fz1sp3 from Failed on first use Bought this unit to clear a drain clog on my kitchen sink. About 4 feet out, hand cranking, the inner core broke (no resistance up to that point). Called Ridgid, got bounced to a local rep (who was a complete jerk). Thankfully had my Home Depot receipt, so I took it back, explained situation, and they took care of it. Lifetime warranty is useless if you cannot claim on it, especially first run out for an obvious quality defect.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Jyles from Great tool This thing works great. Used my drill and cleared 5lbs of rice my wife flushed down the line. Took about 5 minutes to get all 25 feet down the line. Ran smooth the whole way. Another great Ridged tool

Rated 4 out of 5 by Shakee from Decent product Decent product just really wish the power drive stud that sticks out was a little bigger and not perfectly smooth and round so that a drill has something to grab onto a little better and not slip as well as I wish there was a locking Futurama auto-feed to make it easier than holding the trigger the whole time

Rated 5 out of 5 by LEWALL from GREAT TOOL I bought this to replace an older off brand one I have. I've used this for other folks I know instead of myself. It's easy to use and the auto feed is worth the couple of extra bucks. It works great on a cordless drill. I recommend this as a good hand drain cleaner.

How do you clean this?
Just bought this and was going through the manual and it says to clean the auger after use. Ridgid also sells a rust inhibiter, but how do you get the thing apart. There is no information anywhere in the book.
there are 4 screws in the back of the drum . remove the screws and the drum comes apart or you can pull the cable totally out of the front of the tool for cleaning the cable and rust proofing which needs to be done after each use anyway. wd 40 or a light weight motor oil can be used to rust proof the cable because a lot of times a liquid drain cleaner has been used and it is very corrosive and will eat up the cable causing it to break off in the pipe and cause more labor time and cost.

How to assemble the handle ?
I have a rigid power spin tool. It seems that I may have lost some parts for the handle, where either a drill can be connected or turning the handle. HOw do I get the parts?
