Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good Price Good Saw Have been using the Ridgid compound miter saw for ten years now. The angle accuracy is still right on the mark. Had to replace the laser guide once and had the blade sharpened a couple of times but I use the heck out of it. Have built two houses for my personal use using this saw for cabinet construction, T&G ceiling plank panels, door headers, window headers, etc.. Would not hesitate to buy another one if the need arises and would recommend this saw to any serious DIYer or professional contractor.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from excellent saw - very mobile I perform a lot of finish carpentry work and need a mobile miter saw for cutting casings, base and crown moldings. This saw is light weight and easy to cart around, is very precise and delivers excellent, clean cuts on hardwoods, pine, & MDF. On top of delivering excellent results, this miter saw was very in-expensive. It is a rugged work-horse.

How do you attach a ridgid shop vac to this

the end that plugs into the vac is the only piece that seems to fit, but then you are left with nothing to plug into the vac. Seems like you would have made the port the same size as the end of the hoses

Can this saw be used as a chop saw for metal?

Asked by: Patinasoul
Thank you for your interest in RIDGID. No, we cannot recommend the R4112 for use with cutting metal. It is not a metal cut off type saw. It is designed for the application of cutting wood and plastic materials. Regards, RIDGID
