Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome Tool... Much better than my Ryboi drill. More power and longer battery life. The chuck stays TIGHT and great balance. And it was on sale...

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Worst Customer Service Ever Had this drill freeze up on me twice in 10 months. I had a Hitachi with no issues for 8 years. I can get past this issue, but customer service with Rigid is pathetic. I was told to return the drill the first time.. fine... but was without a drill for 2 weeks while working on a renovation. Then just two months after being repaired, the drill broke again. I said I wanted a replacement.. as I don't want to be getting a drill repaired every 2 months... and it should not have broke again.. I Have a lemon. I was told to screw off... ugly customer service. Nobody cares about the customer at this organization. I was starting to standardize on Rigid tools... but now Rigid can lose another customer in a competitive market because their employees care more about their poor policies then retaining a customer for life.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Where is the light! I am on my second set of impact and drill driver guns, and to my disappointment, the drill no longer has a light. The impact gun has an updated light which is awesome, but the drill is left in the dark. Not impressed at all !!!

Please flesh out the specifications and product details on this item. Two speeds are noted, but not defined. Nor is torque listed. Thanks.

Answer:
If you were turning the chuck assembly by hand, the difficulty would be related to the tightness of the internal gear box system. If you refer to difficulty of turning the chuck sleeve to close it and the internal jaws up on a bit, that is not normal, and the drill should be checked by a RIDGID authorized service provider to determine the cause. Let us know if you need any help with that.
