Rated 1 out of 5 by planetscott Died on me after just a few uses.
I have only used it maybe 8 times. It died on me when I was milling grain. It made a loud popping sound, stopped working then started to smoke. I had to take it outside because of the smell and fear it was going to combust.
I will attempt to get it repaired. I did notice it would get real hot when I would mill grain in the past.

Rated 5 out of 5 by froze9 Fantastic drill, and best for the money.
Before you buy any Ridgid product please note this important information: DO NOT buy a Ridgid product (drill in this case) from anyone other than Home Depot, who is the only authorized dealer, or from Ridgid directly because if you buy it from anywhere else you will not get Ridgid's lifetime warranty. Also you have to register each item (drill, battery, charger, etc) separately online at the Ridgid website in order to get the lifetime warranty activated, so make sure you register your product(s) as soon as you buy them. And yes the battery is also covered for life!
Sure you could spend $330 for the best pro drill if thats what you need, but this Ridgid is the best homeowner drill for the money. All cheap drills use plastic internal parts including the gears which makes them feel lightweight, but those plastic parts don't last long when something difficult is required of them to do, Ridgid uses all steel internals.
The batteries are a Li-ion which does not have memory issues like other types, simply follow the manufactures instructions on how to charge. On that note the charger has built in safety features to prevent a bad battery from exploding, or to prevent a too hot or too cold battery from charging. Sometimes I have to reset the battery into the charging port after noticing the both colored lights blinking but that's because I didn't put the battery in correctly. I've had no problems with the 3 batteries, but even if I do I get new ones for free, a new battery costs around $90 do that twice and you paid for the drill!
Power wise I have not been disappointed, but note I do not use this in my employment thus not used as a pro tool. I did however put together a deck that I used screws to attach instead of nails and it did the job without blinking.
I found the drill to be easy to use and handle. The clutch is highly adjustable. It does use a variable on and off switch in addition to high and low gear selection. It also has a LED light that activates automatically when you hold the handle so you can see your work and goes off automatically when you put the drill down. There is a clip on the back of the drill handle that holds a philips/flat blade bit (included with the drill). The exterior of the drill is very ruggedly built compared to some I saw, this drill looks like it could take quite a bit of abuse.
I highly recommend this drill for anyone who wants a highly capable drill and not worry about paying big money for replacement batteries or for that matter paying for a new drill should it fail.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Cannon I like everything about this cordless drill.
I like the way it lights everything up when in use, the built in light is very bright. It has lots of torque & very lite to hold. This is an awesome product & I would recommend it to anybody male or female.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Deep Durable, reliable and great battery life
This cordless drill is the most used tool in my truck. Being a finish carpenter we do a lot of cabinet installation. This drill has plenty of torque.
