Rated 5 out of 5 by Time Saver / Easy To Use / Prevents Damage I had used a similar product that a friend purchased from a discount tool manufacturer, and it put me off this type of tool for a couple of years. Then I had a chance to use this one that another contractor had on the job site, and I changed my mind, so I bought one. I had to install a couple of junction boxes inside kitchen cabinets, to wire up under cabinet lighting. In order to not damage the area around the boxes, and cut the holes precisely, I used this tool to cut the holes, and it worked awesome! Previously, I would drill holes at the corners and try to cut them out with a Sawzall or jigsaw, and would damage the area around the cutout, now, I can cut nice, clean, holes, without doing any damage to the inside of the cabinets. Next, I will be looking at getting different heads to add to this tool, mainly the Right Angle Drill and Auto-Hammer. December 11, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Don't know how I ever got along without it... I got one of these in 2011 when I was doing some work at home,. We'd found some bug damage after gutting a room and had to cut out a door header to replace it. That's when I got this tool and it was a godsend. Then it came in handy for cutting all the drywall outlet holes and so much more. All that was just with the multi-tool head. Recently, I had a need for a close quarters drill and so I got that attachment. Again, the right tool for the job with plenty of power to drill and drive screws in close quarters. Recently, I had close quarters hammering so I got the hammer head. I can't say enough good things about this tool except that I wish I had this a long time ago. It would have made many things much easier for me over the years. November 8, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by awesome tool works with ease, exspecially for me im disabled with weak muscles this tool is tough this tool has helped me tremouslly exspecially in tight areas.every attachment is perfect fit and reliable.this tool has as much power for just about any job ive tackled.i have lost alot of my strenght due to age and the tool has helped me with cutting and scraping materials, way better then a putty knife.the saw is excellant for tight areas, the drill function is strong. Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Tool This is a great tool. Extremely versatile. I've owned a Dremel Multi-Max (not good enough for a contractor) and a Fein Multi-Master (Does not come with a lifetime warranty). The Job max offers so many options. The main improvement needed is a quick change blade option for the oscillating tool. December 5, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Use this tool in several applictions The JobMax is one of my most used tools. I have used this tool for undercutting door jambs for tile, grout removal, peeling up old flooring, cutting holes in gyp board for re-routing electrical, cutting miters in aluminum angle, sanding in tight corners and much more. The Auto-Hammer head works great getting into tight spaces where a hammer will not work. The 4 position head works great in odd spaces. This tool is solidly built and is a work horse. With the lifetime warranty and the rugged construction this multi-tool is a must have. December 3, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by great for so many things I hummed and hawed about getting this tool then after I did I sure am glad. Its comes in handy time after time. I only have a couple attachments so far but I will continue to purchase them. This is great for many things. Its slim design is great in tight places and the versatility is worth it itself. Rated 5 out of 5 by This product has great features I am very pleased with this power tool, it has a reasonable cost than the competitors. It has all the capabilities and is equal or a much better tool than most out there., compact, the variable speed is in the trigger, light under the blade, hand trigger is close to the work, it's fairly quiet, has the power to cut, it takes all the different brands of blades, scrapers and tile grout remover. The case is not bulky fits in limited space. They also got a cordless in a similar model w/ a 12 volt lithium battery, works great and is handy when power is not available, does the same as the corded.. November 27, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Everything you could want in one tool I am contractor, with most of what i do being old work/remodels. I needed something that could deal with most any situation i run into with needing a power tool. This jobmax works great for this. Instead of needing to carry around 8 different boxes with tools, i can bring the one in with me and deal with most anything i come across. The jobmax has the power to cut though framing with the sawzall, run for long periods of time using the plunge cut, jigsaw working great at plywood (i tried in on a 2x4 and didnt work great at turning, but still did it). The nailer drives 3.5in fraiming nails with ease. All in all one of the best purchases i have made for a power tool. I highly recomend November 26, 2014

All of the attachments are equal or greater than the cost of a comparable standalone tool. Why should I buy this tool when in most cases I can buy a standalone drill, impact, jigsaw, etc. that has a larger amp motor? If all the attachments cost more than comparable equivalents it defeats the purpose. I really like the idea and want this, but it makes no sense.

Thank you for your interest in RIDGID!

Dear customer, you do not have to buy all of the attachments for a multi-tool, just the ones you think you will need, which makes a multi-tool a much more versatile and economical type tool, than a jigsaw kit, impact driver kit, corner sander kit, and drill/driver kit all purchased separately to get the same capability.

Answer:
What makes sense is the right tool for the job. Yes, I can buy a drill that works but what do you do when that drill won't fit in tight quarters? The reasoning you are using is why I never bought a multi-tool until 2011. But when I needed that multi-tool head, there was no way I could have done the job without it other than to tear up a whole lot more than I really had to - with the right tool. And, when I needed a close quarters drill/screwdriver, the right angle drill head fit the bill for only $50. Yeah, a good hammer costs maybe $12 but when I didn't have room to swing that hammer, the $24 hammer head attachment was perfect. The right tool for the job is worth every penny. Now when I work on something, I don't have to take a drill, a hammer, a multi-tool, etc. I grab the one bag that they all fit into and go. Yeah, I still have a drill, a hammer, a reciprocating saw, a socket set and an impact driver but this is the right tool for so many jobs. And that is priceless.

Is there a specific blade I need to get, on top of what comes in this kit, that should be used for cutting tiles? Haven't been able to find any so not sure if these standard ones can be used for that or maybe I'm not looking in the right place.

thank you

Answer:
Yes, you would need a diamond blade for tile.
I haven't seen that blade offered by Ridgid, but if you look at the store display for the Dremel tools, they have accessories that fit the Ridgid Multi Tool, and I believe they offer a diamond blade for cutting tile.

Thank you for your interest in RIDGID!

RIDGID does not make or offer a blade specifically for clean cutting tile with your JobMax multi-tool, and there is not one on the market that can be specifically advised of. The RIDGID #A24JM12 blade kit, sold through Home Depot does include 2 blades for cutting through grout, and possibly could bused for rough cutting of small tile.
