Rated 5 out of 5 by zman53 Very nice and heavy duty tool
works very nice in tight spaces. Very handy for service work. I already have the larger set with 1/2"-2" with the cast cutter and use it all the time.

Rated 5 out of 5 by MonmouthPlumbs A great tool to add to the arsenal
I've used the press fitting system on commercial construction previously where literally thousands of joints were pressed using Ridgid press equipment. Now that I primarily work in residential service, the RP 200-B is indispensable. Never again will I need to be in a crawlspace trying to solder wet copper. When you're in a situation where you only need a few fittings to complete a job, such as cutting in a tee for an ice maker supply valve, or fixing a leaking pipe, or replacing a water heater, it doesn't make sense to use a torch. I can literally complete a repair in less time than it takes to write up the bill. This is a great alternative to soldering when you are in a situation where flames could be dangerous, or when you're trying to solder that last wet joint and the steam starts to pinhole around your fitting. Add a set of pure flow PEX jaws, and you have a tool that's even more useful. I'd love to see them be able to use megapress even if it only would do 3/4" IPS that would make a lot of repairs very easy and the threading machine would be able to stay at the shop. I also should add that recently another company has come out with a press tool, but I would never stray away from Ridgid even if their other tool may be a little less expensive. There isn't any comparison when you look at the fact that Ridgid has a lifetime warranty. This tool has a longer duty cycle, and Ridgid has proven themselves as being the leading tool manufacturer in the plumbing and pipefitting trades. All my pipe wrenches are Ridgid for a reason. I wasn't going to risk skimping on purchasing anything other than a Ridgid press tool. It's simply not worth it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by swanny I love the straight design.
The 200-B is much better than the 100-B. The 270 degree rotating jaws provide much more flexibility for unusual access to fittings. The straight design rather than the "pistol grip" design of the B-100 which I've had for about 15 years seems to be more versatile. It is a great investment that I highly recommend!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Chester Easy to use. Great size.
We found great use for this tool on the very first day we bought it. It fit through a access hole in plastered ceiling that we otherwise would've needed to cut open. The idea of not needing to solder and worrying about setting off smoke detectors is a huge time saver.
So far everything about this tool we really really like. I have recommended it to other contractors and have offered the tool to them to borrow for a test try.

Rated 3 out of 5 by DanSbhmh Early Shut down?
The Press worked very well to start with. But with less than 400 Crimps on it, it shut down for calibration/Fault. Have sent it in to have it fixed. Thank goodness I got a loaner from the sales rep. the shut down happened when I was in the middle of a freeze up catastrophe and I lost a couple of hours finding a replacement. :(

Rated 5 out of 5 by ronscott great for any liquid piping job
great tool I've used the company larger press for a couple years, so often i bought a compact for myself its good for repairs as well as complete repipes .the first job i used the compact on was a cooling tower feed water sys. it was a tight area .. worked well... never had a leaking fitting perfect for wet pipe you don't have to drain a whole building because a valve won't hold ,as i write this theres a ton of reasons to buy a pro press

Rated 5 out of 5 by Gradient Best press tool I have used!
The RP200 is by far the best press tool I have used. Previously tried the RP210 and a couple of older models, one cordless and one corded. This one beats them all hands down. It is incredibly light weight, presses quickly, and gets into lots of tight spots. The only thing I would improve is to add a tilt function to the rotating head... and it is only once so far I needed that option.
