Rated 2.3 out of 5 by 3 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by versatile great compressor. it may just take bit of time to get used to the different assembly of this compressor. more people would benefit from reading the manual. the seperation feature is great to easily carry this beast. its a powerful compressor, so those who have problems with breakers tripping must READ THE MANUAL and use a heavy gauge extension cord. the hoses connect with one hand, and separating the surge tank is one solution to the high noise. Rated 1 out of 5 by Unreliable, Warranty Poor This compressor is noisy and draws hard for power. It is very unreliable and warranty support is poor. I have had mine about a year and it has spent the past 4 months in the repair facility before it was "fixed". After less than 24 hours after getting it home it was not working again. Parts for the unit are impossible to come by and if you check for them online some are listed as obsolete and there is no listing for compatible replacements. The best advice for this is stay away!!! Run away. It looks like a great little unit but is very unreliable. March 24, 2014

Answer:
No, that would not be recommended. RIDGID compressor model OF50150TS requires standard 120V at a constant 60 Hz. cycles. RIDGID does not recommend the use of any type of power inverters or optional power sources with any of their AC powered products.

Thank you

Answer:
I bought it. I'm an Industrial Electrician and we throw about everything at our air compressors from nailers, tackers, staplers, palm grinders, paint sprayers and you name it. So far, it's awesome.
The RIDGID web site specs show 14.5 amps. And the handy-dandy owner manual only references 14.5 amps. I presume it is the load value. I cannot find a running/operating amperage listed anywhere.
The first time I plugged it in, I tripped a breaker and so I plugged it into a dedicated outlet for a refrigerator and ran a 12-3 extension cord and it worked fine.
Breakers usually trip at 75% -80% rated capacity, so it will definitely require a 20 amp circuit for start-up and operation.
