Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not So Good Just got one of these and needed to rip a few boards. Got it home and found no rip guide. Who in the heck ever sells a circular saw with no rip guide? Unforgivable. Talk about cheap. What a bone-head way of doing business. Tried a 45 degree cut on some 1x trim and it would bind something awful. Making it worse, there is no version for right handed people; you know, with the blade on the left. What a disappointment. Especially since some of your power tools are so well thought out. Come on, Ridgid, you can do better.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from It’s adequate I purchased this as an add on to a kit. I am using the blade it came with. The trigger to get the saw to operate is a pain and par for course with Ridgid tools. There is no dust collection port so this is the messiest tool I have, horrible. It’s fine but lacks features other saws have which makes them superior. I’d like to see Ridgid come out with a dust collection kit to upgrade this saw.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Dont bother I am baffled by the five star reviews. The saw is slow and binds several times just trying to cut a 2x4. After a few cuts the battery is dead.Only gets a star because Rigid required it to post a review. Also forced to change the language in my review because rigid was offended.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Dependable and fearless I have had this saw a little over a year now and used it while doing a major renovation. Nothing I cut was a challenge for it. I used a 4 amp hr battery and it seemed to last and last. Cutting PT 2x4's and 2x6's was no problem for this saw. Except for being cordless, I couldn't tell the difference between this saw and my corded Skil saw. I only lament the fact that it didn't come with a rip guide although the one from one of my earlier circular saws worked just fine. Ridgid should include one. A great buy and a dependable and fearless saw. Do get a Diablo blade as the blade supplied isn't worth the effort to mount it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Buy it! I bought this saw in Florida last September. I have used it daily it preforms better then any battery saw that I have used. I picked up the 5amp battery with it and I cant believe how long it lasts I have cut 2x8, 2x10 and 3/4 ply effortlessly very impressed!!! My 75 year old uncle was working with me and liked my rigid tools so much he went out and bought 5 new pieces including the saw.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great saw I've recently started replacing my DeWalt 14.4 tools that I've been using for about 10 years. I decided to go with the Ridgid products after reading many positive reviews online and the lifetime warranty sealed the deal. I will say, make sure you enter the info for the warranty just right or it will force you to mail in the original receipt, no online option to update the submitted info. This is really annoying. As far as the saw goes, awesome. Going from the DeWalt 4 1/2 inch blade to the Ridgid 7 1/4 is huge! Initial use of this saw was good, battery life was really good (using the 2ah battery) But do yourself a favor. Throw out the blade it comes with and at minimum buy a Diablo 24 tooth framing blade (10 bucks). I used the blade it came with for a couple days, but it started to bog down cutting 1x4s. Changed to the Diablo and it was a whole different story. In short, great saw, great run time, just upgrade the blade.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Buzz saw beater This is one of my favorite tools. It is tough and rips through 2x like its nothing. The design is cool. I'm glad I got into the cordless circ saw game late. Brushless makes it worth having in the suv whenever you go to buy wood and need to make cuts smaller. I'm a south paw so this seems to be the westcoast righty configuration (saw on right motor on left) but I still have no problems holding it. Blade size is easy to find. Doesn't seem bog down with smooth action all the way through the cuts. I think Ridgid took the cake as far as corless circs go, with this one!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent saw This saw preforms very well and is comparable to a corded saw for 2 bys and plywood. Can stall when the battery gets low, but just pop in a fresh one and keep cutting.

Is there a dust port that can be attached for dust collection?

Circular saws create a lot of dust and other brands provide an optional method for connecting a vacuum to the saw.
