The finest bench pipe vise out thereI have several of these vises at different shop locations.
This vise is easily the best bench chain vise I've ever used.
It is exceedingly well made...heavy duty everything, I can't imagine this vise ever breaking.
It's very well thought out and easy to use.
If you want the best bench chain vise, look no further.
what is the wieght ratining of the bench chain vise used inthe vertical position
Asked by: weldon
We do not place a rating on the vice in that orientation as it was not designed to be used that way.

Can the chain be extended?
Can the chain on the model BC810 vise be extended to accommodate pipe larger than 8"?

We do not recommend extending the cable on our vises as they have the correct length for the capacity off the vise. We do offer replacement chains in case your has broken and we also offer links for repair.
We do offer tristand chain vises with a 12 inch capacity if you would be interested in that option. Those can be found on our website www.ridgid.com or more information can be obtained by calling 888-743-4333.
Thank you

Mounting Dimensions
I am wanting to know the mounting dimensions and hole size. A data sheet showing this would be very helpful. Thanks.

I need to be non-marking on SS. Is one of the jaw options softer bronze or brass.
The Jaw options only say for plastic pipe or coated... Specifically what does that mean?
