WD1450

14 Gallon Wet/Dry Vac

WD1450

This RIDGID® 14 gallon High Performance Wet/Dry Vac is designed to deliver the powerful suction, large capacity, and rugged construction in a more compact design than is offered in our largest cart type vacs. The vacuum’s 14 gallon drum size helps us achieve a more compact overall design but it still provides a big capacity capable of handling large job-site chores. The 6.0 peak HP motor delivers the high performance necessary to handle these chores. Other key features include; a 3-layer fine dust filter captures dry wall dust, accessories are stored on-board, casters provide 360° mobility. Add a top handle with a cord wrap, heavy duty 2-piece drum construction, a large drain and you’ve got a wet/dry vac that achieves the demands of Pro’s on the job site or in the shop.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Really great purchase The Rigid 14 Gallon wet/dry vac is a great item. It has really good suction, is lightweight and is much quieter than others I've purchased.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This vacuum has the most suction of any one I have used. The suction is more than any vacuum I have ever used. It was easy to get ready for use. Hose a bit balky . Must put on attachments very tight.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good power and large diameter hose. I ordered a gutter cleaning kit as well. This unit appears to be pretty solid. I buy a shop vac about every 5 years or so. Hoping this one last longer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy to assemble and use right out of the box. My Craftsman died after 27 years of use, so it was time for a new one. I selected the Ridgid because of its Life Time Warranty and reviews. I was not disappointed. Suction is great and it moves much easier than my Craftsman. I love the bag feature to help keep it less messy when I have to empty it. I know it cost about $8 a bag, but as you get older and wiser it is the best for the environment. I also purchased the attachment for the back to help disperse the air, which I would now recommend to everyone, cost about $8. I hope this one lasts as long as my last, so far, very pleased.

can i wet vac with paper filter

Asked by: jerryrusty
It is not recommended. Depending on your use you can remove the pleated paper filter or purchase a sponge type filter that will replace the pleated paper filter.

hoses

Will the WD1450 accept standard non locking hoses as well?
Asked by: dresnik
I had an extra hose from my last vac and it fit, but I believe I had to use the 3 piece adapter kit.

I just bought one of these and the directions say the casters will 'snap' into place, but they do not. They just fall out. Is this right?

Asked by: bkay
3 of the casters snapped in with ease, the 4th caster had to use a rubber mallet before it snapped in.
