Rated 5 out of 5 by Redrover from Compact versatile powerhouse that doesn’t add aggravation to a task is worth the expense Expensive but worth it for power, convenience and size; nearly ideal multipurpose for home and an exceptional performer in small warehouse. I first purchased this vac for my employer’s warehouse using it nearly every day for over 6 years in an open, windy very dirty environment. (Vac didn’t die, I quit working there.) In addition to the daily paper and plastic litter generated in frenzied shipping and chunky stuff the truck and forklift traffic scatter around, I suspected Costco was using some huge blower every night to clean their parking lot directed to my bay. It would explain amount of ‘new’ dirt showing up every morning. Wrestling cobwebs out of industrial racks, the mini-BB's from termites you get about 50% swept in to the dustpan, the gravel, nails, screws and chunks of wood pallets shed and of course, the supersize roaches and centipedes that dead or alive, a dust pan is too close for my comfort and get wedged into bristles. Having none of the constant, exasperating issues with other shop vacs and finding very little debris it couldn’t handle I fell in love with this vac swearing that when my vac died this would be the replacement -and purchased the same one the day after mine died. In my home I use it to pick up small debris/dirt/dust/crud/webs/ sand/leaves/seed pods, the beginnings of bird nests/ rodent invasion aftermath/copious gecko poo and insect carapace - in construction, remodeling and craft projects, the garage, shop, indoors and outdoor living areas, auto, for shattered glass and when the gutters can’t keep up with the tropical rain deluge and flood the lanais. This is by far my most favorite vac ever and expect it will outlive me. Con: -Wands that come with it are large for Med size work glove hand, very tiring to grip and control. -Minimal accessories included. I purchased a wet pickup, narrow vertical crevice tool and diameter adapter set – essential for me - and splurged on the LED lit car thingy. -Not all accessories you might want to have will fit into the bin -Accessories are different diameters and not all latch on -No lock/latch hose to wand, just pressure fit and never found the happy place where they stayed together until I pulled them apart – not, eventually, somehow managed to pry them apart. -HEPA filter expensive to replace and ridiculously time consuming to clean fine dirt/dust and fuzzy stuff out of. -Bag filters are one time use and expensive. -Not all accessories are available individually; I would like specific parts from 2 prohibitively expensive kits. -Although I expect this would accomplish a connected suction device to equipment generating waste application (like sawdust) this would not be the best use. Great Stuff: -Travels like a dream docilely tracking behind managing to find a way around most obstacles on its own and can jump its cord with a gentle tug -Remarkably portable and versatile. Light and balanced well enough that I, a 125# 5’3” female Senior (with a severely limited knee flexion disability) was able to function reasonably comfortable 6 – 10 hours at a time perched on a ladder with vac in one hand, hose in the other in addition to innumerable trips carrying it up and down ladder, heave it overhead into bays from the ladder, and, get us both back on it 24’ above a concrete floor. (I do not suggest anyone overstep common safety concerns but if you must; please stop, think it through and test before commit.) And once in a bay, rolled right around like a floor vac should without skipping a beat. -Much quieter than any less expensive, far less powerful can vac I’ve known and without the high pitched whine that bothers me more than volume -Long 20’ cord wraps conveniently and stays there with a plug clip, and a 50’ extension cord draped over the top leaves the handle free -With a low profile and hose attachment just above the wheels it is hard to even kick over -Powerful, with serious suck capability even with densely clogged HEPA filter -Most components latch/lock together securely yet separate easily -Accessories bin at the rear doesn’t require stowing each piece exactly when switching between, just toss one in and pull the other out and there is a real handy cup right on top to poke the hose in and not have to bend over and pick up off the floor again. -The 1st HEPA filter held up for 3 years WH environment, several lengthy scrape and bang off cleanings, couple of washing's and is quick and simple to remove and replace. -Runs for a long time before shutting itself off to prevent overheating -On and off switch located intuitively and bright color -Comes with a Lifetime Warranty, reassuring for that nagging Murphy Law that no matter how much or little an item is used it will mysteriously fail days after warranty expires. -Packs up in 1 tidy package all ready to pick up with one hand (with the other already loaded with tools or materials.) -Large bore hose and suction power reduce clogging, a stiffer hose is less likely to kink and tear and has a swivel -Large variety of attachments in application and size. In the warehouse for example I used the Industrial Kit (more slender metal wands with a bent nose and wide floor sweep) and Pro Hose (long and more flexible orange hose) -Sturdy plastic body isn’t going to dent or deform (screw up the seal) and survived a 10’ drop onto concrete with only minor scuffs.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Austin from Awesome suction and great portability! This shop vac is perfect for detailing your car, or sucking up messes quick. The powerful motor provides more than enough suction and the shop vac is built to last. Best one out there at this size by far!

Rated 4 out of 5 by TXJC from Hose needs more flexibility. It is a great size for light garage use. It is more stable than my Shop Vac and it has more suction. The 2 things that I don't like about it are the overly stiff hose and the blower port on the back. I figured out a way to work with these annoyances. I can still use the slightly smaller, more flexible Shop Vac hose and tools. The hose fits perfectly in the receptacle. And I figured out how to use an old 90 degree connector from my shop vac to divert the blower blast upward.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Acee from Great addition to any garage. This little vac is very strong and if you switch the hose to the exhaust side it becomes a strong blower, and it is a space saver. There are two things that are not bad but could use some updating. The hose is very stiff so it is a bit difficult to store, also it is pretty loud. Both problems are easily fixed by upgrading accessories and getting a muffler it silences it up a bi. All and all it is a great shop vac.

Rated 5 out of 5 by OKCVac from Initial impression is good While I cannot comment on durability as I have only had this vac a couple of weeks, the vac works well and is very portable. Cord is long enough to allow you to move around your work area. Hose is long enough to reach behind things. Not as powerful as the big vacs, but plenty of power for the lighter jobs I bought it for. I like the onboard storage for extensions and attachments.

Seeing as there is no foam filter with this unit, will it damage the vacuum to remove the filter for vacuuming up liquid?
Absolutely! There must be a foam filter on the unit when vacuuming up liquids to prevent debris from getting in to the impeller.

replacement / different filters
it seems like all the filters you sell are for the larger vacs, are there any filters available to purchase for this vacuum if we need to replace the stock one or want a different filter? thanks

How often do I need to change the filter?
I have been cleaning out the ducs in my house and the one I got with the machine today already looks very dirty.
not sure, I use the bags for dry pick up only and the filter stays clean. You can feel the bag to see if getting full. For filter, suggest once a year if you use it to clean air ducts only...doesn't sound like you use it a lot. filters can last a long time and look like they are very dirty. You can take the filter off and tap it inside a garbage bag and run fingers over the filter to get some dirt, dust cobwebs off.

How do you clean the power head
and after removing the filler I noticed that a good amount of dust collects around the filler . I believe this happens when a bag is not used. In which I plan to do. I'm new to the product this will be my first time using it, being so Ied like to clean it thoroughly, for I'll be using inside my house.
Unless you are using it as a wet vac make sure to use a clean filter that is properly installed, (it's simple), and if need be wipe down the motor housing with a damp, not wet, cloth with the unit unplugged.

Did I get a dud?
I have had this unit for a very short time with light use......partly because I cant get to suck anything. I purchased to suck up water from when my washer leaked and it picked up nothing.....also when trying to suck up dry materials. it wouldn't even pick up a penny off the floor...Am I doing something wrong? When I remove the hose the suction is very strong...but when the hose is attached the suction is very poor...
Check your hose for a blockage. I just checked mine and it easily sucks up quarters off the floor.
