Model WD1450

This RIDGID® 14 gallon High Performance Wet/Dry Vac is designed to deliver the powerful suction, large capacity, and rugged construction in a more compact design than is offered in our largest cart type vacs. The vacuum’s 14 gallon drum size helps us achieve a more compact overall design but it still provides a big capacity capable of handling large job-site chores. The 6.0 peak HP motor delivers the high performance necessary to handle these chores. Other key features include; a 3-layer fine dust filter captures dry wall dust, accessories are stored on-board, casters provide 360° mobility. Add a top handle with a cord wrap, heavy duty 2-piece drum construction, a large drain and you’ve got a wet/dry vac that achieves the demands of Pro’s on the job site or in the shop.

Features

  • 6.0 Peak HP Motor provides powerful suction to handle tough jobsite clean-up
  • Scroll Noise Reduction® is a patented feature that provides quiet operation by precisely controlling the flow of air through the vac
  • 4 Swivel Casters provide easy 360° mobility
  • Quick Release on-board accessory holder offers storage space for 5 accessories plus the hose
  • 2-Piece Drum provides improved, more rugged construction to meet the higher demands found on the job site
  • 3-layer Fine Dust Filter captures fine dust particles such as dry wall dust
  • 7' Dual-Flex® Locking Hose resists collapsing and adds 180˚ flexibility at both hose ends. Hose locks onto vac for uninterrupted cleaning
  • Large Carry Handle allows easy lifting of vac into service vehicle
  • Long 20’ Cord wraps neatly around carry handle
  • Powerful exhaust airstream can be directed through the vac hose to blow debris from garages, decks, and sidewalks

Rated 4.8 out of 5 by 197 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by This vac has great suction. I used my shop vac to pick up saw dust and some small wood chips and it worked better then my old shop vac model. I also used it to vac my car and it worked better then my old one there as well.. February 23, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Product Needed a vacuum for the wood shop, this vac does everything I wanted and more. Kinda got caught off guard when it sucked up a 1 inch caster I had laying out! (oops) Especially fond of the blower feature for spraying out saw dust after using tools/ cleaning off clothes before heading inside. Works almost as good as my air compressor and much quicker to set up! Have not had a chance to use it as a wet vac yet. Only thing I would change is the power chord wrap on top of the machine is a little awkward and when you use the blower feature you have to move one of the attachments as it gets in the way. Both very minor complaints. Overall, love the product, especially at 100 bucks! February 21, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by agreat product I like the vacuum so well, I have purchased two in the last year. February 20, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by Very Happy We had a sprinkler line break due to the cold weather. The vacuum performed great sucking up excess water from the floors. I also appreciated it not being so heavy that I couldn't lift it to dump it in a bathtub. I am happy and satisfied with my purchase. February 17, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by This unit does all I expected. Everything is great but I do wish I had to clean the filter less frequently. February 16, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by A well engineered quality product with a great motor. My first Ridgid purchase was a wet/dry vac 13 years ago. It performed so well that now most all of my tools are Ridgid brand. February 16, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent Product This is a great vacuum, I originally had the 12 Gallon which blew fine particulates out the exhaust. This one does not, especially with the two stage filter and collection bags. Plenty of power and suction and surprisingly quiet. My next step is a to add a dust deputy. I would definitely buy this again. February 16, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Product has served many years of service. I've owned a rigid wet/dry vacuum since 2006. Recently, I had a warranty issue with my original Rigid vacuum I purchased in 2006. This occurred this year so the product has given me many good years of service. The warranty department inspected my vacuum and results of this inspection produced a new one of the same value. I thought their response time was very good in resolving my issue. I would highly recommend their product. February 16, 2015

Answer:
If you can removed the filter it would be better, if you must be aware you will need to purchase a replacement sooner than later. Once the filter gets wet you loose ALOT of suction and cause the motor to run hotter, continued use like this will cause the motor to fail, Just like covering your radiator in your car and going down the highway, it will do it but not for long.

Better to just remove, also gives you a chance to clean it and keep the unit running at its best.

Answer:
Thank you for your interest in RIDGID!

When vacuuming liquids, please take note that when picking up small amounts of liquid the filter may be left in place and when picking up large amounts of liquid we recommend that the filter be removed. If the filter is not removed, it will become saturated and misting may appear in the exhaust.

We hope this meets your needs.

If you have any further questions or concerns, feel free to call us at 1-800-4-RIDGID (1-800-474-3443) or you may send your email to info@ridgidvacs.com.

Answer:
Don't have a DB meter handy but it is a shop vac, it will be hard to hear if you are in a small room. This unit is MUCH quieter than the unit it replaced. It is better than older units.
