Rated 4.1 out of 5 by 54 reviewers.
Rated 1 out of 5 by This product is not worth the money.... The problem with this tool is the system that feeds and retrieves the cable is a poor design . If the cable runs into any obstacles at all it just won't feed. The little rollers that feed the cable are a joke...I've been plumbing for 39 years...and this is the worst Ridgid tool I've ever bought...I have several thousand dollars worth of Ridgid tools and this is the first time in my life I wished I would have never bought it. Rated 3 out of 5 by Strong enough but really have to press the self feed to advance... It's a good machine overall but why do I have to press the handle til my wrist hurts to get the cable to advance?? Cable binds up easily in the drum. I wish the drum had quick release snaps rather than screws that I know will strip out the plastic eventually if I have to open the drum to unkink the flimsy cable. Also, to have a reverse switch that I have to hold down while pressing the pedal and holding the self feed is stupid. Decent power. Well made otherwise. January 15, 2016
Rated 3 out of 5 by small machine This machine is for very small drains. The cable that comes with the machine is very easy to kink. The auto feed has no real power and I was not using the feature but I decided because the cable is so easy to kink I used the auto feed guide in the hopes that I don't kink the cable.I just bought another 1/4" cable from another company and I will test it out.I also ordered the original cable.Price wise it's not cheap. It is however a cheaply made machine.I use this when the cable on my other machine is to big to pas a galvanized T or a small copper drain. It's my back up machine so to speak. The reverse button is annoying because you have to hold it down. This machine is for very light clogs only.I would say it's more for home use.For those people who don't want to call a plumber and don't want to spend $500 on a small drain cleaning sink machine. It is much better than those turn by hand models. Rated 4 out of 5 by Easy to use Good product ...good waranty ! A liitle long to comme out compared to other products I have used but I would recommend this product January 8, 2016
Rated 1 out of 5 by Auto feed does not work properly Would not buy again, the auto feed does not work that well and the cable twists too easily. Only used it 2x and have to replace the cable. January 6, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by This product is much easier to work with versus other sink machines I wish my K-45af had a food pedal like this one. It is much easier to manage the cable opposed to having to think more about operating the k-45af without kinking/destroying the cable and at the same time having your hands and arms get tired from having to hold the snake gun in awkward positions. Rated 2 out of 5 by 2 uses and it needs to be revamped So far I've used this twice on a vanity sink and now have to take it apart to either reset or anchor the actual snake to the drum. It no longer plays out going forward using the autofeed......but will retract when I use the retrieve side of the handle. Clog was only 10 ft into the drain. December 4, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by Much easier than using a hand held snake. Very useful for clearing clogs where it is awkward to use hand held snakes such as a clean out for double sinks located in a narrow drawer cabinet between sinks. Could use some way of knowing how much cable payed out and when reach end. December 2, 2015

Answer:
You would need to mark the cable to know the footage. Most people will mark the cable with nail polish every five feet. Hope this helps.

Answer:
because the cable is clipped inside the drum, it just won't feed anymore. I've wondered if there wouldn't be a way of marking the cable every 5 ft so that you could know how much cable you've put down the drain.

Answer:
Go on Ridgid's website, type in your zip code and find Ridgid dealer in your area. Home Depot usually carries a pretty full line of Ridgid accessories and parts. WARNING!! DON'T SUBSTITUTE. Get Ridgid replacement parts to work correctly in Ridgid machine (and not VOID your lifetime warrantee.) Brasscraft, Spartan, General, Ace Hardware, True Value, local plumbing supply house brand may look alike, but do not perform the same (and are sometimes dangerous to cause injury).. Again, you7 get what you pay for.
