Rated 5 out of 5 by good drain cleaner We've un-clogged lots of drains with this cleaner and it keeps working with minimal maintence. February 23, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by This did the job lickity split I have a shower drain that has an elbow in the basement near the ceiling next to a wall. I have the old hand style auger that I always fight with to clean out the hair clogs with. it is so hard to hold the hand auger up above my head and apply pressure and turn the auger so it gets past the 90 degree bend in the pipe. With this it was no problem the clog was cleared in just a few min. I which I would have bought it sooner. Next i will use it on the floor drain! February 8, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Well explained, easy to follow instructions!!! Well explained, easy to understand instructions that make operation of this tool very easy to use!!! I whole heartedly recommend this tool, I should've bought mine long before I did!!! February 2, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by over all good product Not sure motor is powerful enough to remove clog if really far down drain. It said to pull some cable out to put in drain I found it difficult to pull out with cover on it had to remove from machine pull cable out and then put back on that was a pain. It was hard to tell if the cable was advancing in drain or not thinking of marking cable some how every foot. Over all it did the job that I needed it to do I am a plumber so I will use it often but for it's first job not bad. I love Ridgid tools.Wish they had same body design with a larger cable. Rated 5 out of 5 by This product did the job I needed done! I needed the shower drain cleared. Best to read all directions before using, so you don't ruin the product. I did. It gives you a better understanding of the features and how to use it properly. It clears small drains. Nothing bigger than 1 3/4. (I think) That's important to know. I knew the clog was a short distance from where I started. I tried a hand snake. It didn't work. I wanted something reliable. Because I'll be using it again. Unless you want to spend several hundreds of $$$ (over $500) for a really good one. This is the product for you. January 25, 2015
Rated 3 out of 5 by Just too hard to get the cable back in the machine with the hose on it As always I love my rigid tools but this one wasn't my favorite purchase January 17, 2015
Rated 3 out of 5 by Effective and quick unclogging, but cable twisted/kinked during retrieval On my first use, the K-30 made very quick work of a tub/shower drain clog and a lavatory drain clog. I was impressed and glad I made this purchase. On balance, the cable twisted during retrieval and developed a permanent kink. I'm not sure if the cable will feed properly the next time I use it, so I'm thinking of ordering a spare replacement cable to have on hand just in case. January 10, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by Gets the clog out.... Used the machine twice so far. It is a two person machine to maximize its effectiveness. The motor appears to be powerful enough, and the cable long enough at least for the typical home clog. There are two significant issues with the product. First the mechanism by which the cable is fed is VERY difficult to squeeze hard enough to run out or collect the cable to the end length. Second, there is no way to determine how much cable is out, or how much is reeling in. There MUST be a way to mark the cable in 1 or 2 foot lengths, it would improve the performance and quality of the product immensely. January 4, 2015

Answer:
You would need to mark the cable to know the footage. Most people will mark the cable with nail polish every five feet. Hope this helps.
