Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent product I don't have a 12 gallon, I have a 10 gallon, but that wasn't available to select. We had over 9 inches of rain in 5 days after it had been raining off and on for weeks. The ground was saturated and the water started coming in our finished/furnished basement. We had over an inch of water throughout 1500 square feet of combination tile, cement and carpeted areas and it was coming in faster than we could suck it up. The Rigid Wet/Dry vac did a GREAT job of removing the water, not just from the cement & tile areas, but pulling it out of the carpet and padding, too. Still took days to get everything dry, but it would have been MUCH longer without the Rigid Wet/Dry vac.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easily assembled, powerful motor to get rid of basement water This wet/dry vac replaces a Shop Vac that burned out after 25 years. So far so good as a wet vac, haven't used it in dry mode yet. Sturdy construction, powerful motor to make quick work of the water that comes in during heavy rains and stable as well so no risk of toppling over. I would recommend this unit.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great value! I needed a small, but powerful vacuum that I could connect to the table and miter saws in my small shop. This item was the perfect combination of price, size, and features. As always, Ridgid has met/exceeded my needs and expectations.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love it. I have tile floors. Dust easily wants to hide in corners and closets. This awesome machine is powerful and gets all the dust out of corners and edges. I know my home is much cleaner. It has great attachments. I can easily clean heating and air vents. It was a life saver using it to clean the sliding glass door track. I can reverse my hoses and blow of the patio area in a snap. Great product. It has better suction than any household vacuum I have ever used. Buy one. Many uses. You won’t regret it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good design First and foremost it’s a good vac. The 10 gallon capacity is more than enough for the average job, and the 5 peak HP provides plenty of suction. The vac also isn’t overly load, and about what most would probably consider normal. The materials used give the sense that it’s build to take some abuse, but are still light enough to keep this portable. The on board storage bins for the power cord, accessories and hoses convenient and large enough so you don’t feel like you’re playing Tetris to make everything fit, it packs up neatly and quickly.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Need to include 4 more screws for the hose holder Most people start assembly from the casters up. I put screws on the casters for added security. Consequently, when I got to the hose holder, there were no additional screws. Evidently this is a common issue since the tech did not stutter when he told me that the caster screws were optional and the additional screws could be purchased at any hardware store. The device is fine, but this is a point to be addressed. Tell your “bean counters” that a couple of pennies for the 4 screws is a false saving. Also, this is why you only got a 4 star rating.

Loose vacuum hose lock? not sturdy?

Is it normal for the hose-lock assembly to move? I've noticed that if you slightly tilt the hose upwards, the hose assembly will also move (please refer to the attached photo). I'm just worried that the lock assembly will be damaged soon enough when it's being pulled while using the vacuum. By the way, this is a newly purchased vacuum.

Hello SERISPVMD, Yes, it is normal for the hose assembly to move but it shouldn't get damaged very easily with proper use following the instructions in the owner's manual. Thanks, RIDGID
