XF45 and XF50 Quick Acting Vises

XF45 and XF50 Quick Acting Vises

RIDGID® XF45 and XF50 vises combine the strength and durability of forged steel, with the time and effort savings of a Quick Action Trigger. These vises are the only forged steel bench vises on the market with this Quick Action. Traditional bench vises rely solely on hand cranks to tighten and loosen the jaws. By flipping the Quick Action Trigger, the jaws can easily slide into the desired position. This trigger significantly reduces the amount of time and effort when working with this vise.

opening width

How wide do the jaws open?
Asked by: cjr1988
The jaws open wider than most if not all other vises in the same jaw width range. Rarely will you need the maximum opening on a 6" vise.

Do the XF Series Vises have the same clamping force as the F-Series Vises? i.e. Is the available clamping force diminished by the Quick Acting mech.

Asked by: Pepsiispep
No, the XF series has a split nut that only contacts the tightening screw partially while the F series non-quick acting vises have a solid nut with full thread contact.
