Pipe Extractor Sets
Are these pipe extractors ambidextrous?
Can these be used to remove and tighten nipples? I'm looking for a quality extractor set that can achieve both of these tasks without purchasing separate right and left handed sets.
Thanks for contacting RIDGID! Our pipe extractors have straight symmetrical flutes on them which would make them suitable for removing left or right handed nipples. An internal pipe wrench would be a better choice for installing short nipples. Please let us know if you have any other questions.

Is there a different set for schedule 40 pipe and schedule 80 pipe, or is the pipe extractor compatible for BOTH schedule 40 and schedule 80 nipples?
I see in features it says they are available for schedule 40 and schedule 80 pipe, and when you look under ordering information the first subtitle says Model No. Schedule 80 which leads me to believe the pipe extractors listed below are specifically for schedule 80 nipples and that there should be a separate category for schedule 40 pipe extractors
