Rated 5 out of 5 by jalopyshop from I do Truck restoration and I needed a new chop saw I restore old trucks and farm equipment and I fabricate as many of my parts as I can. I cut everything from light steel bar stock to heavy steel tubing for frames and re enforcing. I have had three other chop saws, from bargain brands to Ryobi. None of them lasted any great amount of time. As soon as I started to push the motor a little, I fried the motor. I gave this saw an average rating for durability because I've only had it for a month and I honestly can't rate it at this time. It is a heavy saw which is what I wanted. It cut good when I load the motor, and the guard keeps sparks from coming forward.

Rated 1 out of 5 by DaveMac from Saw is poor quality. I have had two R4513 table saws in the last 6 months. The first one was difficult to raise and lower the blade which caused the plastic crank to break off. I returned the saw and purchased another R4513 in hopes that the first saw was only defective from production. The second saw blade raises and lowers as it should but the power cord is so stiff that when I tried to coil it up one of the plastic lugs snapped off. I had a Bosch saw and after 10 years the motor finally gave up so I purchased the Ridgid. I'm going to return the Ridgid and purchase another Bosch.
