Great gunsmithing tool!I needed a tool to shorten a shotgun barrel. The other tube cutters from other manufacturers were very light weight and not recommended for steel tubing. The Ridgid Model 15 is rated for light steel tubing and is very hefty. After carefully marking the length and taping off both sides of the cut line to protect the bluing from the cutter roller I began the cutting process. After 12-15 twists around the barrel, gradually tightening the tool, the cut portion fell away. The cut itself was very clean, exactly flush and square to the barrel and required very little deburring. And the roller did not mar the existing blue finish. A couple of applications of bluing to the shiny cut mark and the finished muzzle looks just like the rest of the blued metal. I couldn't have asked for a better tool for this job. It is easy to use, cuts very smoothly and precisely and the weight of this cutter eliminates any chatter or skipping out of the cut track. And you can buy replacement cutter wheels if needed. I highly recommend the Model 15 tube cutter by Ridgid. It exceeded my expectations!

Right tool for the job.I wasn't sure which size would be best for home DIY projects, and didn't want to invest in a complete set of 10, 20, 30 tube/pipe cutters for something I'd only need or use very occasionally. Decided on the Ridgid #20 size and wasn't disappointed. It's big enough to tackle kitchen sink and bathroom vanity sink pipes up to 2 1/8 inches. Anything larger I probably should call the Plumber anyway. This model is solid and cuts tubing accurately and quickly, like a hot knife through butter. I'm sure this product will outlive me.

It does the JobNot one of those flimsy tubing cutters, the fit, feel and performance of this product provides confidence to the user that they'll be able to reach for this one for a long time

Best tool for the jobI am the warehouse foreman for a large plumbing company. I have purchased off brands of tube cutters in a pinch and regret it every time. Most other brands are inferior in their manufacturing and often lead to an inferior cut. Ridgid is a far superior product in every way. Tools don't cost money, they make money!

Copper cuttersThe most comfortable and easier copper cutters out there with ease, I've bought Lenox in the past and those do not come close to the ridged copper cut

Hello Ridgid,
Me and my colleagues are wondering if the square hole in the reamer blade has a purpose for something. Could you please explain?
Kind regards,
Wim Reynders
