Other key features include; a 3-layer fine dust filter captures dry wall dust, accessories are stored on-board, casters provide 360° mobility. Add a top handle with a cord wrap, heavy duty 2-piece drum construction, a large drain and you’ve got a wet/dry vac that achieves the demands of Pro’s on the job site or in the shop.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from First Use Suction was good. Easy to move around. Like tool holder on the vacuum. Used the vac bag inside the tank for household dust and light cleaning. Hose attached with a clip at the vacuums so that it does not pull out of the tank.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great customer service. Shop vac Head was getting bad. The life time warranty kicked in with no problems. Just follow directions to return unit to the factory and a new shop vac and a new filter was coming my way in a timely fashion.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from nozzle needs redesigning powerful vac. the handle makes it easy to move around. however i'm not happy with the tip of the nozzle. has a weird sharp angle that makes vacuuming harder than older nozzle models. would be excellent if ridgid took note and replaced nozzle with new much simpiler design for that ultimate suction.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from This Vac saved my bacon I purchased this vacuum to primarily be used for my dry remodel cleanups. However, during a particular demo phase, an old copper pipe joint broke loose shooting water 10 feet into the room at gallons per minute rate. Thankfully, I was able to quickly get the water valve turned off and convert this vacuum over to wet mode. The use of a dry debris bag in the vac made this change over very convenient. I now fully appreciate the flexibility and options that this vac offers. And I am not left wanting on performance.s

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Why did I wait so long I have had my old wet/dry vac for over 20 years. It is so loud that I built a sound insulated cart with a dust separator for it to reside in. Even in the cart it is still louder than this new Ridgid vac that has 2x the power is out in the open. I love the fact that I can hook the hose up to the exhaust and use it as a blower. The on/off switch is large and easy to access. It has a nice long cord. The top locks down and is very easy to remove to empty the bottom. The extra 1 1/4" hose and attachments are awesome to have for vacuuming the car. I can not attest to its durability as I have only had it a week.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This product is very quiet for such a large vacuum I have just received the crevice tool today so I could use the machine on the interior and trunk of my vehicles, the process that use to take 20 minutes was cut in half and I did not have to make numerous passes to pick up the debris. So far I like the product but wish the hose was a couple of feet longer...

can i wet vac with paper filter

Asked by: jerryrusty
It is not recommended. Depending on your use you can remove the pleated paper filter or purchase a sponge type filter that will replace the pleated paper filter.

hoses

Will the WD1450 accept standard non locking hoses as well?
Asked by: dresnik
I had an extra hose from my last vac and it fit, but I believe I had to use the 3 piece adapter kit.

Is the airflow (CFM) of the vacuums measured at the end of the hose or at the opening on the canister?

Asked by: ShopDoc
The CFM (air flow) is measured by how much air is taken in through a round opening ranging from two inches to completely closed. Of course, there is zero CFM at no opening and maximum CFM at a two-inch opening.
