Rated 5 out of 5 by dannydtk from Great vacuum cleaner Good size, fantastic suction. Much quieter than the normal shop vacs I have had. Attachments fit well and function fine. I like the extra bonus car attachments and hose.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Butte1 from Wow!!!! I am extremely pleased with the performance of the wet-dry vac. I've only owned it for two weeks, but we've used it to vacuum out three vehicles. My wife and I just say... "WOW". Very pleased.

Rated 5 out of 5 by smallprojects from first wet dry vac Lately I have been doing more work around the house that I don't want my normal vacuum to clean. I will have dust from sanding or cutting wood to pick up. This vacuum is offers a good suction to pick up the mess along with any small bits of debris. Since I have not used this type of vacuum before I did expect a better list of instructions on how to use and care for the vacuum. Questions like how much dirt should I pick up before empting? What is the best way to keep the dust down when empting? When the disinfecting is begun could I drop the hoses in the bucket? What type of filter for wet vacuum as there are many options. Overall I think I can manage since my wet pickup is limited. I still feel it was a good purchase and value.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Rick74 from Long lived & reliable I bought one of these 12 years ago in 2005 and have used it around the house, barn, garage extensively. I have never had a problem. The vacuum has run like a champ. I have changed filters regularly as recommended. One heck of a product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by StevieB from Very good product. Since purchasing this vacuum I have used it a number of times and found that it had all the power that I needed. It moves around very easily. It is a well built machine and although I have not used the wet pickup aspect of it I am sure it will perform equally as well as the dry.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Aguy from Purchased for garage and auto cleaning. Works well. Does what a good shop vac should. Recommend using available bags to enable easy emptying when dry vacuuming. Sometimes the extension arms come apart while in use. Overall pleased and like the auto cleaning attachments that came with this model.

What are the decibel levels for the WD1450 and the WD1851
uhhh...call me lame, but a "decible meter" is NOT a piece of equip. that anyone I know (including myself) would tend to purchase...so I can't answer this question. IF the owners manuel lists the decible level, I'm not about to go fish for that info. Sorry. That's an unusual question to ask a custormer. Decible level? Really?

can i wet vac with paper filter
It is not recommended. Depending on your use you can remove the pleated paper filter or purchase a sponge type filter that will replace the pleated paper filter.

Will the WD1450 accept standard non locking hoses as well?
I had an extra hose from my last vac and it fit, but I believe I had to use the 3 piece adapter kit.

Is the airflow (CFM) of the vacuums measured at the end of the hose or at the opening on the canister?
The CFM (air flow) is measured by how much air is taken in through a round opening ranging from two inches to completely closed. Of course, there is zero CFM at no opening and maximum CFM at a two-inch opening.
