Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Wet/Dry Vac for the price Great for the price, suction is great. The only cons I would say is that the extensions feels a bit flimsy when they're together. Beside's that, I give it a 4 out of 5. I recommend this product but I wish they would fix these extensions.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from This product looks very nice in the garage and small. It doesn't take up a lot of space. I own two ridgid vacs this one is smaller then my other one. It doesn't seem to have the power my other one has and there almost the same. I think my other one just has a bigger tank but a lot more suction

Rated 4 out of 5 by from This product is great but needs better accessories The only issues I have with this vac are with the accessories. If the castors were larger, it would feel more stable and possibly the top-heavy design would be less likely to fall over. I feel it should come with the necessary adapter to fit 1 1/4" and 2 1/2" hoses. Those adapters are included in the extension hose, so not a big issue. I also feel that the muffler should be included. The angle of the included attachments should be more acute to the floor or another wand with a more acute angle should be included. Other than that it sucks really well!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great looking product but weak plastic I needed a small vacuum for a small shop. I thought this would do the trick and the price was right. That said the orange clasps that attach the vacuum top to the canister are made of a fairly weak clasp and one of them is already loose and looking a little bent. Mind you it looked this way before I had even used it! You get what you pay for. The vacuum itself functions well, I just wish the handle could be replaced or was a bit tougher.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from It sucks... Which is good For 50 bucks it better last.. Angle of Suction head is hard to find sweet spot. I like metal drum.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I just wish it came with a dust brush I love all ridgid products they're durable and that means a lot in my line of work

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works great so far. The button design, for changing the filter, is a pain. Shop-Vac's design makes filter changing much easier. I can see something getting broke while trying to get the filter off. You need 3 hands. Same with my large stainless steel vac. If it weren't for that, I would have rated everything excellent.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This thing really 'Sucks'! This is probably the best shop vac I have ever owned or used. Has a nice long power cord, good size hose, 2 floor suction tools and 2 extension wands. If there was anything else I needed that was not included, it was a crevice tool which I had to purchase separately. Overall, tis a great vacuum.

Answer:
I can only say, I owned a Shop Vac brand last time around. It lasted several years, but was a VERY, VERY loud shop vac. This Ridgid shop vac, is not near as loud, though more hp. I would say is acceptable. Probably only way to get a more quite clean up is the old fashioned way, a broom and dust pan!

Answer:
Not as loud as others I've had! I was very surprised because it wasn't even as loud as my house vacuum either! All vacuums make noise but this I can talk to my husband while it's on and not yell so he can hear me! This is a great vacuum I think you would be pleased!!

I understand the start up amps can be quite high on some vacs. I bought a Ivac automatic switch box which cant handle extreme amps on start up.

Answer:
If I remember correctly, the literature notes approx. 8.5 running amps but did not list startup draw ... I measured the startup draw at 17.6, but that is for less than 5 seconds ... This is in line with most motors of the size and type used for a vac. Since most home circuits are wired with a 20 amp breaker, I'd recommend ensuring there is nothing else pulling power when you start this up and if it's being used in conjunction with a power tool I'd recommend having a 30 amp breaker installed (assuming you have enough amperage available in your service panel).
