Rated 5 out of 5 by easy to use Really have found this stapler handy. Reapolstering chairs, putting down sub flooring. Fixing furniture where you need a little more than a finish nailer. And have put a swivel air hose connection on other air tools, that's pretty nice. November 25, 2014

Product Q&A

Back >>
Upon opening the stapler, it was impossible to load the staples that came with the gun; the magazine would not slide in. Only by loosening the bolt toward the back of the gun was I able to load the magazine. Is this what you're supposed to do?

After that, I was unable to fire staples. The Accudrive tip with the orange pad on it will not depress all the way to the surface of the material, and it will not fire. I was unable to find any mention of either of these issues in the manual, and other guns I have used have been ready to go out of the package.

What am I doing wrong?

Thank you for your interest in RIDGID!

The R150FSE should be ready to go right out of the box. You need to check and make sure you have placed the fasteners in the magazine correctly, you should not have to loosen anything to install the fasteners. It sounds like they are not installed correctly or there is a problem with the unit that a local service provider should check and possibly correct.
