Rated 4 out of 5 by from Spend the time to tweak it My initial experience was bad, but got it tuned and now it runs good. It still does not function as well as my buddies Porter Cable but this was was a lot less money. It still is not great on crown but I can run base and casing with no problems.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Large Paperweight. I purchased this finish nailer to use on a home addition and for misc. projects around the house. The first time I pulled it out to use it, I put a brand new, fully charged, 4 amp hour battery on it. Once I figured out how to load it, I attempted to test fire a nail into a scrap 2x4, and to my surprise, the nail barely went in the thickness of the head. After adjusting every setting, and going through the "troubleshooting" section of the manual, I was still lucky if I could get a nail to go in 1/32". Even with a full, brand new battery, the gun even sounds slow and under powered. It's only possible use now is as a large paperweight! ABSOLUTE JUNK!!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Brad nailer With maximum power and maximum penetration settings and a fully charged battery, I cannot get full penetration into even soft pine. Also, about half the time the power is not activated when I press down on the work. Worse, the brads fold over instead of fully penetrating the work even with light hammering when attempting to finish the brad's penetration. Clearly a poor design and supported by other posts.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from yet another user whose unit wont drive full depth I have now endured the horrific headache of asking tech support for help with the fact that my driver has recently started doing what so may others have reported...it wont drive a 1 1/4" nail flush in pine. Clearly this is a problem! But now...even though I have registered for "lifetime warranty" I have to bring the unit AND the battery it came with AND the charger it came with (are you kidding me????) to Home Depot who will "send it in" and maybe, just maybe, it will come back working correctly. Given the many, many other folks who have had this problem I have my doubts. The part that really burns me is that after a dozen or so "comments" talking about this problem some clown from Rigid responded to one of them and said that they hadnt had this kid of problem raised in the past.....really????

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Does the job I purchased my tool as a non-working unit from a wholesale warehouse and was able to fix the issue without purchasing any replacement parts. So, while I can’t speak to the longevity of the tool or the conditions that caused the failure in the first place, I have been using it to do trim work for several months with no issues. As with any nail gun, pneumatic or cordless, there are limited instances where the head does not drive completely, but overall, I am very impressed with the performance. I have the 4Ah batteries and they will drive hundreds of nails without recharging.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Thought this would be a convenient tool to have for small jobs. Way wrong! Don't waste your money. This thing leaves nails sticking out of your work, even MDF. Both depth adjustments are set as deep as tool will allow, the 3rd setting is the mode selector for single shot. I tried contacting customer service, no response from them, shocker. You'd never be able to trim an entire house with this thing. I tried the Dewalt, that's the gun to get. It works like a nail gun is supposed to.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Unable to do the job. I have been a Ridgid fan for some time. I bought a set of x5 Ridgid cordless tools, and after attempting to drive finishing nails with this nailer I found that this tool is incapable of driving a 2.5 inch brad flush into a stud. My day is lost, and all of the tools went back to Home Depot. I won't be buying Ridgid ever again.
