Some packaged options include adapters and cable kits while others do not, so confirm the exact parts included when ordering. With the switch OFF, pull about 10" (250 mm) of cable from the adapter and slide it into the back of the K-50. Test braking by engaging the clutch to spin the drum, then releasing the clutch; the drum should stop immediately.

The unit is screw operated and can be used either by hand or when circumstances require, in a machinist vice. Easy action of the expander jaws is facilitated by a friction free ball bearing between the screw and the taper pin with a precision collar allowing fine adjustment and pre-setting of desired tube diameters.
