It will suck the bad attitude clean out of your mother in law - and anything else for that matter. Great power, love the stainless canister. The inlet into the canister needs to be easily removable to make it easier to remove full vacuum bags. Other than that no complaints so far.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Madglyn easy to use
We are having a home built and needed to do some heavy-duty first time clean up. The electric and plumbing are in so there were shavings from drilling holes to run the wire and pipes, clips for the roofing, nails, wires and you name it. Luckily we had a previous Ridgid vacuum with the muffler on it that easily transferred tot he new one. So parts are interchangeable which was nice. The only problem which is not the vacuums fault is one it couldn't pick up the nails and wires and the leaves that were all over inside the house were so numerous that it would clog easily but it was also an easy fix. Love this vacuum, can't believe we waited so long to get it. Also the wheels let it follow you anywhere on a flat surface, does circles like a champ. Easy assembly and right hight to turn on and off.

Rated 5 out of 5 by RSC2015 Suction Power and Easy Roll-around Cart are Big Pluses
The cart design coupled with the good suction make this shop vacuum fun and easy to use. My wife loves it. The storage bag for attachments is also functional; however there is no good way to roll-up and store the hose. From my perspective the hose should have been a bit longer and better quality.
I would purchase this unit again without hesitation.
Note, I purchased the plastic canister unit.
Thank you Ridgid for making better products!

Overall pretty decent vacuum. Some parts are a little fragile and might not last long on job site.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Batman The best shop vac I've ever owned
This is my second Ridgid wet/dry shop vacuum. My son-in-law recently had a flooding crisis in his lower level walkout. He was so impressed with the suction that my shop vac had compared to the others he was using that I decided that he should have my shop vac for future problems and I went out and bought another one identical to the one I gave him. I have always felt that the suction provided by the two 16 gallon Stainless Steel Wet/Dry Vacs was far better than other vacuums that I had used. I'm extremely pleased with my purchases.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Smooth Good features, great warranty.
Vac with cart handel, tool pouch, and easy movement with the larger cart wheels is nice. Very quiet compared to the smaller models. Like the look of the chrome canister over the plastic models. Most of my work is on dry material or I would have purchased the plastic canister model. Purchased first due to lifetime warranty but am fully sold on the quality, durability, features, and warranty now.
Have a few of the ShopVacs, nothing wrong with the older models the new models look really cheap and flimsy.
Will try the Ridgid and see how they hold up.
Do recommend anyone looking for this level of vac to purchase this model, you won't be disappointed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by AlbertC Quiet shop vac with great power
This shop vac provides incredible pick up power and is yet not as noisy as other shop vacs. Hopefully this one will last 15 yrs like my previous ridgid shop vac. It still works, but it was just too noisy.

Spent hours trying to register warranty, had receipt, box with part numbers, serial numbers and nothing but hoop after hoop to jump through
