Rated 5 out of 5 by from Without equal My review is about the model 700 power drive. This tool makes pipe threading fun...really. I use the 700 along with my 12-R threader die heads for fast and perfectly done threaded pipe. Not only is the 700 well made, it's also well thought out and easy to use. I bought my model 700 25 years ago and it still works like new. It turns those die heads effortlessly, even the 2 inch. Great for the job site because it's portable and easy to carry.

Answer:
The 700 power drive would be pulling 15-16 amps at full load. Here is some information from the manual. If you still have questions or concerns please contact our Technical Support Department at 888-743-4333.

Minimum Wire Gauge for Extension Cord
Total Length (in Feet)
Name plate Amps 0-25 26-50 51-100
0 to 6 18 AWG 16 AWG 16 AWG
6 to 10 18 AWG 16 AWG 14 AWG
10 to 12 16 AWG 16 AWG 14 AWG
12 to 16 14 AWG 12 AWG Not Recommended

Keep all Electrical Connections dry and off the ground. Do not touch plugs or tool with wet hands. Reduces the risk of electrical shock.

Thank you

Answer:
The 700 power drive does not have the capability to groove pipe, but we do offer an array of groovers. We offer groovers that can be driven by other power drives in our product line, manual groovers, and others. Take a look at what we offer by using the link below.

Answer:
Thanks for contacting RIDGID! The HS stands for high speed for the dies. CMPLT is mentioned in our catalogs because its the diehead complete (including the diehead and dies already set into it) rather than just the diehead and having to purchase dies separately. If you have any other questions please let me know, we can be reached at 888-743-4333.
