R3002 Reciprocating Saw, 5 Reciprocating Saw Blades, Contractor Bag and Operator’s Manual
Rated 4.2 out of 5 by 13 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Just as good as a Milwaukee I've had this for 4 or 5 years now and I have cut just about everything imaginable from pine to oak, aluminum, copper, steel, you name it, I even threw in a 9" Dialblo blade and cut down a tree branch around 6 1/2" thick, With the right blade for the right application this saw will cut through just about anything you throw at it. Rated 4 out of 5 by Great tool The orbital reciprocating saw is easy to use. The best function is the ability to choose between an orbital or linear mode to get the best cut. November 25, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by A good tool for the price I've had the same sawzall for 8 years. It's dependable & never had any issues with it. If you are using it to cut Sheetrock or any wood spray the inside & outside of the quick release with a spray lubricant to keep the build up of debri out. If you take care of your tools they will take care of you. November 24, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great tool. I've had this for about 2 years. And I'll be honest I've beat it up and never had any issues. I read a review saying the opposite but I have never had a blade bind up or any other problems. I have a replacent blade as well but am still going on the original even for removing the sub floor in the bathroom on my latest remodel. So glad I got this model. November 24, 2014
Rated 2 out of 5 by So far so good So far I haven't encountered a problem with this tool. Comes in handy cleaning up the yard after a storm. Slices through branches like butter. November 24, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Easy to use This is a great sawzall. Very easy to use one handed when needed. One of the best features is the tool less blade chuck. November 24, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by lightweight, balanced, adjustable speed and powerful I use this saw for so many different projects. I have a larger saw of a different brand and it's okay, but, the weight makes it cumbersome after a while. The Ridgid saw does the same work with much more ease on my arms especially while cutting overhead. I am a former boilermaker who worked plant maintenance and was also the purchaser of the majority of tools used at our site. I had already many personal Ridgid tools of my own and liked the dependability of the ones I had. I purchased many tools from our industrial supplier and never had a regret. November 24, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Super product! I have used my recip saw on several occasions and love it. It's so easy to use and does the job well! I can't imagine what I would do without it. It's so convenient and allows me to get into small spaces. Love it and have recommended it to several friends since purchasing it. November 24, 2014

blade falls out?

I am considering adding the tool to my ridgid collections but I have read many reviews complaining of the blade falling out or being pulled out easily. Has ridgid done anything to remedy this problem?

Thank you for your interest in RIDGID!

There has not been anything determined to be in need of being done to the R3202’s blade holder, in relation to blades not staying in the holder. Reasons for reciprocating saw blades not staying in the holder can be a result of certain brands of blades having a thicker than normal coating of paint from the blade manufacturer and not getting seated good during the installation process, or customers not fully opening, seating, and closing the holder when installing reciprocating saw blades in the holder.
