The RP 351 delivers 7,200 lbs (32 kN) ram force, completes a press in about 4–4.5 seconds, and uses an 18V lithium-ion battery. It features an endless 360° head swivel, no scheduled maintenance, wireless connectivity, advanced LED lighting, and color-coded status indicators. Typical capacities are 1/2"–4" (12 mm–108 mm) for copper and carbon steel, and 1/2"–2" (12 mm–50 mm) for PEX; larger sizes require the appropriate ring/actuator systems.

The RP 351 uses a brushless motor rated for over 100,000 press cycles and has no scheduled maintenance. Routine care includes daily cleaning, lubricating the attachment mounting pin as needed, and checking return springs on attachments/jaws.

The tool is approximately 15.6" x 4.6" x 3.1" (396 mm x 117 mm x 79 mm), weighs around 6.9–7.83 lbs (~3.2 kg) without battery or attachments, and operates within 15°F to 122°F (-10°C to 50°C). It will not operate outside this temperature range, as indicated by status lights.

With the tool OFF and battery/adapter removed, fully open the attachment mounting pin, insert the correct attachment, then close the pin until it locks. The tool will not operate unless the pin is fully closed. For rings, install the appropriate actuator and ensure it is fully seated in the ring pockets.

"Control Mode", enabled via the RIDGID Link app, engages the attachment around the fitting without pressing, allowing alignment checks. Press the run switch again to complete the press; once the tool locks on the cycle, releasing the switch will not stop it.
