Switch the tool OFF, remove the battery or AC adapter, fully open the attachment/jaw mounting pin, insert the correct attachment, and fully close the pin until it locks; the tool will not operate unless the pin is fully closed.
There are two operating modes: "Normal Mode" starts and completes the press cycle after the trigger is depressed and the tool locks on. "Control Mode" first engages the fitting to confirm alignment; press the trigger again to complete the cycle. Mode selection is managed through the RIDGID Link app. Releasing the run switch does not stop once locked-on in either mode.
