Rated 5 out of 5 by The Envy of Ladder work and long distance finish carpenters GET ONE AND YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT!!! I HAVE NEVER LIKED THE HOSELESS AND GAS POWERED UNTIL NOW; THEY HAVE NAILED IT WITH THIS ONE. ALL THAT HOSE AND CORDS ON A LADDER IS NEVER SAFE AND USEFUL. nOW YOU HAVE MADE BOTH FOR US CARPENTERS AND FINISHING IS THE ENVY OF THE CARPENTERS AND TOUCH UP WORKERS ON MY BIGGER JOB SITES. Rated 5 out of 5 by Does what it is supposed to Solid nail gun. Works as advertised. Only gripe I have is depth adjustment could have a little wider range, but nothing a hammer and nail set can't fix. Gun is lightweight. Love the swivel air connection, adds to flexibility. Very few jams, those that do occur are easily cleared. November 25, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by good design and hand grip We have several rigid tools in our shop and we are very pleased with all of them.we would not have got more rigid tools if we where not happy with the tools. Thank you Rigid Mark November 25, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by A great tool I have used this tool for many years and it has never failed me. It never jams and always feeds smoothly. It requires almost no care, just lubricate it occasionally and it will supply you with a lifetime of use. Its light weight magnesium frame makes it so easy to hold and control. I have all of the RIGID line of air nailers and all are perfect. Thanks RIGID November 25, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by It is the easiest finished nailer I have owned/used. I specifically like the ease of depth adjustment when using for different trim of thickness. November 25, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Easy to use. Not too heavy for long term use. I have used this tool on many finish projects and have had no issues with the nails not being countersunk. This nail gun has worked well on manufactured trim as well. The flexible hose connection is a great feature. November 24, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Goof choice for finish nailer This air powered gun has a nice balance and is able to reach into the areas you sometimes cant with a straight nailer. I haven't used it for long yet but expect to last as with other Ridgid products out there. November 24, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Hubby loves this! Got this for my hubby on his birthday and he says its a lifesaver cant live without it. November 24, 2014

You can set the depth and shoot a nail and the next nail will be to deep or not even shoot all the way. It has full battery and there is good contact and pressure between the tip and the wood.

Answer:
Thank you for your interest in RIDGID!

Dear customer, you are describing a possible internal malfunction, and there is not a way to tell why it is doing that without physically checking the unit to make that determination. It could be related to a worn or damaged part. The nail gun should be taken or sent in to a local authorized service provider to be properly checked and serviced, if it is not firing consistently.

Regards,
RIDGID

I read a review of someone who had problems with a Bostich finish nails jamming. He went tried Senco and the problem stopped. He stated the head sizes were different, and the Senco nails seemed to be the same size of the nails that comes with the gun. I purchased all Bostich nails when I purchased my new gun, but have not opened the package yet, and was wondering if I need to exchange these.
