I can't seem to find the VF3500 filters anymore from Home Depot or on line in Canada.

Have these filters been discontinued?
If I use the VF3501 bags, is the filter still required?

Answer:
Thank you for your interest in RIDGID!

The VF3500 filter is not discontinued. It is usually available at Home Depot stores. However, if the VF3500 is not available at Home Depot, you may direct the customer to place the order over the phone through our Canadian parts distributor at 1-866-808-6500.

As for using the VF3501 filter bag, you still need to use the VF3500 filter in conjunction with the dust bag.
