First, we recommend that you clean your filter outside. Simply remove the filter and tap it on the inside of the drum or a trash can to knock any debris loose. You can also use a soft bristled brush and sweep the particles off the pleats or use an air compressor or blower to blow out the debris.
If you desire, the filter may also be washed. Run water through the filter from a hose or spigot. You will need to make sure that the water pressure is not too strong as it may tear or damage the filter. You will need to allow the filter to dry out before using it to pick up debris.
