Rated 5 out of 5 by 4 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Cleaned up water backup into the house Due to a clog in the main line the shower stalls overflowed and water flooded into two rooms and three closets. Since I already had a Ridgid wet/dry vac I bought this filter at Home Depot. The vac with wet filter made cleanup a snap. By the way, guess what the plumber used to clear the line? Ridgid AutoFeed Rooter with 100' cable. If the professionals trust Ridgid then we serious DIYers should too! December 7, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by AWESOME Product This is an excellent product! Cleans the pool great and is so easy to use! Would definitely recommend (: November 24, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Enables you to take advantage of the "wet" side of the vac Really expands the use and value of the vac when you have this wet filter in place. It's been great for cleaning gutters or inside outdoor equipment that's gotten wet. Filter is sturdy and will last a long time. November 24, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Does a very good job at filtering. I bought this filter to use with my 12 gallon wet/dry vacuum when I clean out my backyard pond. Works extremely well at keeping leafs and other debris out of the motor and does not affect the suction. Cleaning it is very simple, just rinse off with clean water and leave out in the sun to dry. Well worth the $17 investment for your vacuum if you plan on using it in deep water with larger debris. May 6, 2014

Answer:
Thank you for your interest in RIDGID!

This VF7000 will not fit the WD4522 vacuum. Please take note that the VF7000 Wet Filter only fits the 5 – 16 gallon RIDGID vacuums. Currently, the only filter that we offer for the WD4522 is the VF3500 High Efficiency filter.

Answer:
Thank you for contacting RIDGID.

At this time, we do not make a wet filter available for WD4070, only the VF3500 is the filter that can be used on the said model.

When picking up small amounts of liquid the filter should be left in place. However, when picking up large amounts of liquid we recommend that the filter be removed. If the filter is not removed, it will become saturated and misting may come out of the exhaust.
Also note, that when picking up large volumes of liquids, the liquid in the drum may reach a predetermined level and the float mechanism will rise automatically to cut off airflow. This occurs to avoid liquids from entering the power head. When this happens, turn off the vac, unplug the power cord, and empty the drum.

If you do leave the filter in place while picking up liquids, the filter must be dried to avoid possible mildew and damage to the filter. We recommend that you clean the filter and then let the filter air dry overnight. Make sure that after each cleaning, you check the filter for holes or tears. You will need to replace your filter if it has any damage.

Please remember to never leave your wet / dry vac unattended when it is turned on and to always uses your wet / dry vac in accordance with the owner’s manual.

Lastly, refer to the owner’s manual sent on your email concerning the proper usage of your vac.

If you have any further questions or concerns, feel free to call us at 1-800-4-RIDGID (1-800-474-3443) or you may send your email to [email protected]
