Rated 4 out of 5 by from For the next person that buys this; include the screws for attaching the handle!!! Did my homework. I've had several Shop Vac models, and did not want to go with them again primarily because of the terrible latching of the top to the can. I decided on the this "new" model of the Ridgid due in part to the smaller size can, but with the high h/p. If only the screws for attaching the handle had been included?!?!?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Decent, but I should've bought better model. Not the best. I wish I had spent more money on a better version. I bought this vacuum to replace one that suddenly started smoking badly. Sparks were shooting out of the top of the motor where the vents are.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Product I had been in the market for a shop vac for several months and had been researching all the models available. I found that the Ridgid offered me the best performance, choice of accessories and price. I highly recommend this product.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Dirt Leaks Out Brand new vac leaks debris after turned off. The top doesn't create a flush seal to the canister and drops the mess back on the ground. Called RIGID and they told me to purchase weather stripping to secure the seal. Really? Never again. I should have stuck with Craftsman.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Ridgid is good value for the money Great power for a small size machine. It was bought to clean automobiles, the garage etc. Detachable blower is quite useful-more powerful than expected. Please note this is not designed to be a full powered leaf blower but is great for removing small debris from concrete and porch areas. Being electric you will have to live with the power cord.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not nearly the power I was as expecting. I've used it mostly for cleaning up wood dust and it takes several passes to work.

how do I use the wet vac feature on my 12 gallon hp wet/dry vac

I lost my booklet and would like to pick up the last bit of water in the bottom of my hot tub after draining? My vac is not the new version.
Asked by: shopdummy
Take out the bag, put on the squeegee attachment, and have at it. Empty the vac when you are done and let dry before you insert the bag back in.

Is there supposed to be a rubber gasket or seal between the top and bottom? Mine doesn't have one.

Asked by: chbelt
No, the vac does not come with a gasket or seal between the vacuum head unit and the catch can.

What is the Constant Runtime rating on this unit ?

I am wanting to use this at a Dust collection for my Xcarve CNC and want to know if I can run it for 3-4 hours at a time without doing damage to the motor.
Asked by: Sigmund
It should run just fine for that that long. We use these shop vacs at my work and have run them for full 8 hour shifts.

How do you install VF3502 filter bag on the WD1270 vacuum?

In the previous question about bags for this model, the answer give was to use the VF3502 filter bags. However, the instructions for installing the bag on the 2 rib inlet tube don't match the anatomy of the WD1270, which has an inlet tube that is molded into the body at the bottom so the cardboard collar cannot be attached.
Asked by: haphaz
I noticed a slight variance in the instructions and the actual vacuum also. But not to worry, it still attaches between the two ribs just as the instructions say.
