Rated 5 out of 5 by Brownstone from Really good suction I bought this vac mostly for dust when I'm grinding inside someone's house i put a dust bag in it as soon as I bought it and it works great. It doesn't have the high volume obviously but it has way plenty of suction. l'm very satisfied I would buy it again and i would also recommend this vacuum.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Heather from power!!! This vacuum has lots of power. The only drawback I've found is that although the attachments now clip to the wand, the wand still comes apart from the hose. If the wand clipped to the hose, this vacuum would be awesome.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Banjo from The best vac ever I saw this and I had to get one of my own. It is so compact and easy to use compared to others. I really like that EVERYTHING can be stored on board. The best vac ever.

Rated 4 out of 5 by BearyD from Almost great This little vacuum has the power you need to pickup most dirt. I really like the compactness and the ingenious way of keeping up with all of the ends. My only complaint is that the tray that holds the attachments intrudes heavily into the holding tank. It says 4.5 gallons, but that must include the space taken by the attachments. It's a pretty small holding tank. How to make it better? Simply allow the removal of the deepest attachment bay when using it as a sucker and have a flap that folds down to block off that area when using. That would make it a 5 start vacuum!

Rated 3 out of 5 by Photoguy527 from Both pleased and disappointed Vacuum works quite well, however the hose will not stay attached to the vacuum during blowing operation. The only way I can get it to remain attached is to shove a shim under the latch.. otherwise it is completely useless. It would be nice for some one from Rigid to offer a suggestion. Additionally I feel that the brush could have been improved on. I added the pet brush from my old vacuum which slides nicely down the tube and allows me to use it on the carpeting in my truck.. I bought this item because of the convenient storage of the accessories.. which fit quite well.. the design in my opinion was well thought out.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Kirbs from Compact and self storing of hose and power cable is great Has been a very good unit until recently when the toggle switch gave out but I don't baby the unit. It gets some rough use when I am renovating.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Longtimeridgiduser from Great portable Vac It's everything I paid for. I have numerous large Ridgid shopvacs and love them. The only thing I wish this small vac had is, the exhaust port on the opposite end of the hose end. The exhaust can blow the dust away before vacuuming. Not a deal breaker.

Can use this vacuum to clean a COLD pallet stove.
I am wondering if I can use this vacuum to clean my pellet stove when the ashes are totally cold. Do I need an additional filter or do they have a specific filter for cleaning ashes?
I used this vac to clean our wood stove and it did a steller job. Of coarse the ash was stone cold and the filter had to be cleaned after the job to restore the vacs pickup power. I used a stiff brush to clean the filter and the fine ash that clong to the intierior of the drum.

I would like to know which of your wet/dry vacuums have the Scroll Noise Reduction built in.
I already have two of the large vacuums, but am looking for a smaller portable with the Scroll Noise Reduction built in. It isn't always clear from the website which ones have it, so I would like to know for sure. Thank you
These two answers to my original question make no sense. The description of this vacuum above clearly states under "Features" that this model has Scroll Noise Reduction. That is item #7. So, it would appear that this model does have the Scroll Noise Reduction feature. While waiting for an answer, I went ahead and ordered, and received, this vacuum. Based on the amount of noise it makes, or rather doesn't make, I would say that it does indeed have the Scroll Noise Reduction. It is relatively quiet for such a powerful vacuum. As I intend to use it in public places, that is important to me. I am rather disappointed in the inaccuracy of the previous answers, and am glad I didn't wait to make a purchasing decision based on their information.

Is it possible to order a replacement Superflex hose?
My Superflex hose has cracked and broken, and the replacement hoses are not flexible enough to fit in the tool storage compartment.
My unit is new so mine has not cracked. That is a shame the replacement hose does not package into the side since to me that is one of the major advantageous of this unit.
